Now I understand why the Griz/cat basketball games are not televised in
Montana.

Because one shitty game means the team isn't worth watching right?
Hey, relax...this is just not a very good year for Big Sky hoops and, no, unless you are an alumnus or fan, it is not worth watching unless you are truly bored or housebound. Lots of good bball on tv....

"offensive" rebounds

Montana 4 TOTAL: 21
NAU 15 TOTAL: 40

This stat says a lot about this season...and possibly next season.

Why do you even post over here then? If it's not worth watching then go watch something else instead of making ridiculous statements over here about how a HS team would give the Griz a good game.

You and Lou joining grizindabox's emo club or something? I find it funny the most posts by you guys pop up after the Griz have a shitty game yet when the Griz are doing well you're much more quiet.

Why stop there? Just get rid of the BSC basketball, mens and womens, all together?

If you cannot handle a good ass-whoopin', don't watch...It WILL happen to every team now and again.

Relax, fella....I am a UM alumnus. I watch and hope...when the Griz do well, I cheer. When they don't, I shrug it off, there is always "next year"...Of course, I am also a Stanford alum and that can be even more painful. It's only a game.

Yep, it's only a game, no need to get all emo over it fella. No need to make absolutely ridiculous statements either making it sound like the Griz would be challenged by a HS team. Do you seriously think that? If so you really should have your head examined.

Anyone who follows college basketball like you claim to knows teams can have shitty games occasionally. UCONN lost 81-48 today, guess they should just drop basketball too right?

I find it amusing how posters like you flock to the threads when the Griz are doing poorly, but are oddly quiet when the Griz are doing well unless they can find a flaw to point out

Why is that?

best to have the flat game this weekend than next? Awful , I thought that Griz team had left the building..oh well on to tourney..& go Heels kick some devils ass!

Dick Emerson from Columbia Falls gets 2 points for the Griz.
Dick is what I called Wayne for not putting the kid in sooner. :D

Tough game to watch, but other than changing what round we play Weber in next week it had little impact on the season or the tournament. Games like this happen and to be the conference champ we are going to have to play Weber at some point. Who cares if it is Friday or Saturday night.

and you think others are going all emo.....yikes...But, yes, remembering Kareem was a player at Westchester and a star on UM just 7 months later, and coming from a program where the talent is extremely highly developed, I would put my $$ on Westchester or even Long Beach Poly HS against the team that showed up today in Flagstaff....it would be a fun match...I believe you have posted a few negatives here, yourself, fella....easy does it...at least we care enough to show up and send $$...have a real nice day...See you Thursday...

What's he saying??

Basically:

We sucked. We had poor effort. We didn't show toughness. We couldn't throw it in the ocean. We're gonna call some guys out. Rebounding was terrible. Travel isn't an excuse. Altitude isn't an excuse. We don't make excuses. We just bit our asses handed to us, but we're going to get home and get something's corrected.

"The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat."

Well, there we are, asking "what in the Wide, Wide World of Sports" just happened?

Why did Secretariat beat Sham "like a magnificent machine" when they had been previously adjudged just about equal? Sham was one of the fastest race horses of the 20th Century.

On any given day, the "day" does not measure the horse, the team or the coach.

Griz looked like a tired team. There were no sparks.

Perhaps there will be sparks next week.

The odd part was how unconcerned they appeared to be. The team leaders did not show up for this game.

Third game in one week and hellacious travel may have contributed to a lackluster performance as well.....but we were not ready to play today and it showed....
