I like that starting lineup listed above.
Ellis - Great passer & defender. Not a scorer, but gets the ball to the scorers, like a PG should.
Dlouhy - Create some matchup problems at the 2 with his size (in the Big Sky nayway). 40% 3 point shooter so far this year. Athletic, and a very good defender. 3 point shooting and perimeter defense is where the Griz are REALLY struggling this year.
Do you start Chavez at the 3 or 4? If you start him at the 4, do you move Hasquet to the 3? Is Hasquet quick enough to play the 3? Either way, you gotta get Chavez some more minutes, and I'd honestly start him. He's too good of a weapon to have sitting on the bench. Besides Criswell & Matthews last year, Chavez was the only other Griz to shoot above 40% from 3 point range (of course he only took 19 shots from 3). Hasquet right now is struggling with his outside shot (1-10), so it'd probably be best to start Chavez at the 3 where he'd hopefully get more looks from 3.
I'm not giving up on Chase or Martin, or any of the other Griz players yet. Martin is struggling, that's for sure. Chase isn't getting many minutes. He is fairly productive when he's in though and does rebound very well. He's also very physical underneath. We have to remember with these new players like Chase, they may start out fairly slowly & not get a lot of minutes......look at Matthews and his first year. He didn't play much at first (sharing time with Lynch), and then at the end of his first year when he started getting decent minutes, he was great & a team leader his senior year along with Criswell.
