Mick has 44 years coaching experience, this man knows football, and kids, how can we go wrong, sit back and witness another great Griz football season folks, maybe one of the better ones we have seen for awhile!

I agree. It was a no brainer that he or Beers got the interim job. I'm not sure Beers would have accepted tho since he is very tight with Pflu.

The university is on spring break this week. Delaney is currently at The Master’s in Augusta, Ga., but will join the team when it returns to the field for practice Monday afternoon.

Yes I knew it was a joke but I'm sure there will be people all butthurt over it, just like with O'Day going to the final four.

I think this is the best decision for the program. If you tried to bring in a new coach now, not only would it bring more drama to the team, but the university would have to settle for the best available coach rather than having an expanded field of canidates. This is going to be a good team next year, one build on the system currently in place. Play out the season (which should still be a successful one) and build for the long term future of the team after the last game.

I hope its true. As I recall One of Micks "mentors" and certainly examples of how to coach was Big Ed Simmonich. Living 2 doors down from Ed, and accidentally hitting him with the hose while he was walking to church, I can assuure you, was very bad idea.........

I can assure you mick knows how to take care of business too.
