 UTEP SHOULD beat UIW. You think there's credit due there?

Has zero to do with busting through the FCS bracket to Frisco.

BSC coaches who have a much, much better chance than BH and the boys have roots in elite FCS programs...

That's just a fact.
Yep NFL, SEC, PAC 12, Mountain West coaches are far inferior. Lol.

If you are inferring the Griz coaches here...then, yes they are. They aren't even in the top quartile of the BSC right now...

Translation: *chuckles under breath* Our offensive coordinator isn’t a coach, he’s a COORDINATOR, you incompetent little insignificant swine. These guys are half my age and more than twice the players age, so they’re not that old. The players are 1/4 my age and they still come party at my lake house. I’m like Hugh Hefner of Griz Football (without all the weird stuff *serious note*). That means I’m not that old, I know exactly what recruits the younger generation of football players.

You are entertaining.

Just your friendly neighborhood translator. Happy to service Griz nation!

Oh Jesus lol

If they’re top quartile, why can’t we FINISH in the top quartile?

That movie was actually filmed in Bozeman/Livingston area.
I know. A lot was because of how polluted the Blackfoot was then. They did an amazing job cleaning it up though. I was saying that tongue in cheek because Soldier has a thing about Griz coaches fishing. It is one of his common themes.

The movie production crew said the reason they used the Gallatin is because the Blackfoot did not have sufficient stretches without development for recreating the time of the events being depicted. I guess they have changed their thinking since the days commercial jet contrails were in the sky of 1800's westerns. No mention of pollution to my recollection, unless you consider riverside homes, highways and powerlines pollution.

One year they didn't.

Actually two years out of four. And then this year—which technically is still unknown…but we all have a pretty good idea of how it’s gonna turn out.

And let me ask it a different way: Is top quartile our goal? If he does that and gets a first round playoff cupcake, does that mean he should stay?

Bobby’s rearranging of deck chairs last year sealed the fate of this team for as long as he’s here.

I think the Griz have established a standard. And yea if this season doesn't go well the staff is probably in trouble. But the danger is the unknown in what you are getting to replace this staff. And I know some want every single coach gone and anyone that has ever had anything to do with Bobby should not be anywhere near the program. If they fire the entire staff you are going to lose some good players in the portal. And the new guy is going to have to bring in his transfers. The process is going to take a few years to develop. And in that process are probably a couple more years of losing to Cats and losing some games before the new staff gets things going. Griz fans have patience for that? The cycle of hire and fire is what has made Nebraska irrelevant. I do not agree with everything Bobby does and I really do think he is a dick for no reasons at times but I really don't think the whole clean house every few years hoping to find lightning in a bottle with some coach is dangerous.

Actually, the bigger danger IMHO is the KNOWN we’re getting with THIS staff. Six years in, we know. Six years to build his program his way and get HIS guys here is not “cleaning house every few years”.

You can have a coaching staff filled with guys with all sorts of experience and still have them fail. At some point, the game passes pretty much every coach by. Jimbo Fisher is a good example of this. Up until hiring Bobby Petrino last offseason, he just couldn't get out of his own way an adapt to a more modern style of offense. He has one of the most talented rosters in the country and not much to show for it because he just refused to adapt to a more modern style of football. Just because you do what you have always done doesn't mean you'll get what you always got.

I was concerned when Hauck came back that he would just implement the old system and assume it would work like it did the first time. The game and overall environment was completely different when he came back in 2018, not to mention how much it has changed from then to now. Great coaches stay successful over long periods of time because of their willingness to adapt. Saban is a good example, as he has altered his schematic philosophy a number of times to stay relevant. As a coach, the arrogant mindset that their system will work because it has before is a killer.

I think it was just the cherry on top, the fate was already sealed.

Both are good observations. There was a line out of 'Heartbreak Ridge' where Major Powers, addressing Sgt. Highway, said, 'Their last Sgt. went rogue, retired on active duty(or words to that effect).' This is my impression of what has happened to the regime of Bobby 2.0. He doesn't have the fire or desire to take the Griz back to greatness. Pease, like Rosie, is a joke. Hiring friends, instead of top notch coaches, doomed Bobby 2.0.
I don't know if BH is even capable of change. He hasn't shown me anything that would give me the slightest hope that this 'team', players and coaches can even produce a winning season. BOBBY may throw a parade if the Griz get to six wins. It sickens me to say that. :puke:

OK, for the umpteenth time, between me and a couple others, WHERE WAS MAYGINNES DURING THE ISU GAME???????
It was announced during the pre-game radio show that he was not in the starting lineup. That was it. Nobody saying sh*t. Sound don't travel in a vacuum. Where he was regarding practice is irrelevant. If injured, why not just come out and say he was injured, and held out for caution. If this was discussed during Grizzly Sports Report, I missed it. If discussed on Griz Club or QB Club, then keep your secret, but PM me and I'll drop the subject.

Thank you for your reply.
Well, that answers his physical location, but the WHY remains a state secret. F'IT! I'm done with it. :delete:

Ah yes, RTD was only supposed to reference the Griz finishing 4th at best in the Big Sky. You seemed to prove Soldiers point, our coaches aren't even some of the best in this conference, let alone anywhere else.
