Matt Lubick

If I had my choice, and I don't, I would chose Matt Lubick to be our next head coach. He comes with dynamic offensive experience which in my mind is what the Grizzly fan base desires. He comes from a coaching background, has the State of Montana in his pedigree, is well connected on the west coast, is young, personable and an up and comer.

Would he take a salary cut to coach at the University of Montana? I don't know but sometimes dreams become a reality for someone when they take a step backward to gain their footing to go forward. Research him at the University of Oregon Duck site and see what you think.

If we were to hire him Santa would have definitely given me what I would like for Christmas. That is my 2 cents on this topic.

Less than Brent Pease ($345 M).

Sometimes it is not just about the money it is about the opportunity. I didn't know what he made but knew it would be in Pease's range.

One thing I have learned is that if you don't wish, hope and take chances in life dreams don't have a lot of chance to come true. This may be only my dream and not his but I like his solid Montana connections and background. Maybe Coach Delaney and Coach Dennehy will put in a good word for him with the administration and maybe they will also call Matt and tell him to get his name in here. Just wishing.

Pretty hard to leave that Duck program.

I agree with you kemajic but it seems to me the goal of any young coach is to be a head coach someday and eventually be a head coach in the Pac 12 or another major conference. To me this would present a prime opportunity, with a respected program to accomplish that goal. I don't think he would be first in line at Oregon so it is a possibility.

After watching the spread offense yesterday I am even more convinced this is the guy who should be our nest head coach.
