Mariani to Bears?

Apparently, DA Bears kicker doesn't have a leg... Good for Marc to showcase on national TV

Too bad for the Bears, Cutler likes throwing to NO better...

I've never coached the game but if you're down 16 with 4 minutes left you should probably throw the ball unless you're trying to get fired.

Word is Trestman has his eye on the potential opening at The Colorado School of Mines.

He might get his chance after this game.

All told, MM had nearly 30% ( 162, or 29.5%) of all the yards gained by the Bears in the game. Admittedly, Cutler, had more ... 214 (44.4%). Tell me again about how much money the two make.

The scariest part about this joke?????? Both Tressman and Stitt have been called "Offensive Genius"

MM might do better if they actually blocked for him.
Yeah, I had the same thought on several of those returns. You could see how Marc kept looking for some sort of seam where he could put on his "patented" :) burst of speed. Never really happened, yet he still piled up a lot of yards.

Good article on MM. Sorry if it has been posted already.

Bears need a new coach

Report: Marc Trestman likely to be fired

The Chicago Bears have turned into a complete dumpster fire in recent weeks, so it only makes sense to assume heads are going to roll at the conclusion of the season. After Monday night’s pathetic showing against the New Orleans Saints, the Bears’ front office has apparently decided that one of those heads will belong to head coach Marc Trestman.

According to Dan Bernstein of CBS Chicago, Bears ownership met late Monday night and came to the conclusion that Trestman will not be back with the team in 2015. The team’s owners reportedly remain undecided on the future of general manager Phil Emery.

Simply put, Trestman doesn’t seem like he is cut out to be a head coach in the NFL. The former CFL coach is a great offensive mind and would probably make a good offensive coordinator, but he seems to lack leadership qualities.

A recent report from Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com indicated that Trestman’s laid-back style of coaching has basically led to a free-for-all in the Bears locker room. While guys like Brandon Marshall have been left to call out their teammates after poor performances, Trestman does stuff like addressing his team from the back of the room and rarely ever handing out discipline.

If you want an example of how dysfunctional the Bears have become, look no further than offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer anonymously bashing Jay Cutler and then giving a tearful apology to the team. Trestman chose to not even address the situation publicly.

I see Cutler is benched now too, I wonder how they feel about that $18 million a year now?

Tressman may go but so should the GM. Giving Cutler that contract makes no sense. They guy is a great NFL backup....

FIFY

He's no where near mobile enough to be a CFL back up, let alone a starter. Up here is the league of Doug Flutie, Warren Moon, Jeff Garcia and Dave Dickenson. QB's who can't move die up here.
