Seems like he's still healing up, can't believe he got caught from behind.

He didn't really get caught from behind  Did about as well as he could have with the angle presented to him. He's deceptively fast like Jordy Nelson 8-)

And...he got caught by a WHITE guy! :D

Love watching all the former Griz players in the NFL. However, the bears are the poorest coached team in the NFL! I hope they change their coaching and things get better for Marc.

As an old Bear fan I pray the entire lot of management and coaching staff leaves the Bear camp. I love watching Marc play but I must turn off the Bears as they are beyond bad. Coaching and management stink, they will leave and I see Marc having a good season next year with a rebuilt program.

With several nice returns, including the 67-yard one yesterday, I'm thinking that MM will survive the make-over that is about to ensue for the Bears. Great return to the NFL for Marc.

I see that Marc finished No. 9 in the NFL for average yards for per kick return (at 25.5), according to ESPN.

That's pretty impressive given that he's missed so many games, and one might think it would take a little while for him to get a feel for the game after so much time off and his injuries.

Congrats to Marc on what was a great comeback, all things considered.

The Bozeman in studio tv news sports announcer, on CBS KBZK, commented on the highlight that Mariani looked slow, twice.

Gotta admit, he didn't look blazing, and in fact the tacker closed on him fast. Granted with a very slight angle. I still feel he would have been caught without the angle.

He didn't look 100%.

I agree, not 100% yet. But did not look slow. He had to change directions to get by one defender and that gave the tackler the angle.

Yep. He'll be fine.

Slow, funny. Yes he is not his former self and who knows if he ever will be after that gruesome injury but he is not slow. He made 2 cuts, one to get through the jam and the next to break away from the kicker. The Vikings player was at full speed when he made his first cut and getting by the kicker and ran down Mark. If Mariani did not have to move to the left who knows if he would have been caught. The way he ran kicks for the Bears they actually have a threat now.
