Sorry... I misspoke. 7000 empty seats. Potato... potato

7000. About how many more fans are in WAGriz each GAMEDAY, compared with the Fargo Dome.
just over 5,000.

5000. Average daily caloric intake per Fargo Dome attendee.
5000? A lot of us must have gone on diets. Either that, or the visiting teams are getting a lot more tickets to bring the average down.

No shit. That's the typical Bizon fan intake just tailgating prior to kickoff.

What began as bulletin board material for the Griz has become bulletin board material for the Bison.

Im pretty sure the Griz don't need much in the way of locker room motivation for this game. Its just funner to make fun of Bizon Neighborhood.

If the Griz DO need locker room material, then the game is already lost. Biggest game since the '09 NC game. Biggest home game since the App State playoff win in the snow.

With regard to ndsu's division status, I can certainly understand where that's confusing to Griz fans who are used to playing lower division opponents and not straying from the shadows of Wash-Griz for ooc games. NDSU on the other hand is used to playing some major college football to start the season.

let's see... Stats were from last year. NDSU had 6 regular season home games. Montana had 6 regular season home games. NDSU was on the road to Iowa St. for the first game. Montana was on the road for the first game against Wyoming. Montana played Central Washington for it's sand bag game and NDSU played the powerhouse Incarnate Word. I don't see your point.

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't that ndsu team, a division II program at the time, beat ah highly ranked fcs program on their home turf? I would say that was cause for jubilation.

Right? Even though I was rooting for the Griz, it was at least kind of neat to see little David sneak one in past Goliath. Our friends to the East will likely feel a bit nervous again this time around with the bright lights of the main stage, but I expect a decent game.

Just a slight correction on your post, please. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Buffs were actually D III when that game was played (I can't be sure of the date). That makes it even more impressive and hear-warming. It's probably no coincidence that they have the same colors as the original Mighty Ducks!

I believe we were NAIA at the time too. Maybe playing the likes of Dickinson State would help your non-con record.

Lol, what is Dickinson State? Sounds Catholic.

Sorry to wake you from your deep sleep the past 10 years. Thanks for the 2014 only stats, I bet the kool aid is refreshing!

All this talk about divisions should stop. It doesn't really matter anyway. The biggest factor I foresee is the effect of WaGriz on the UNDSU players. Getting the opportunity to play in the big show is not something these kids will take lightly. The atmosphere is nothing like the Alerus Center. After the butterflies subside, I'm sure the Buffs will put up a great effort.

We will put up a great effort, just like during our 12 game win streak, 2 straight national championships, and our road wins against Ohio State, Oregon, and Carroll College.

WaGriz = big show? You need to get out more. Obviously, you have never been to Sid Cichy Stadium.

We should hang out at tailgating. You will be pleasantly surprised by our vegan menu, which should fit well with you granola crunching, Birkenstock wearing, tree hugger types that Montana is known for. By vegan, I mean bacon wrapped sausage with shredded beef, and a nice brisket for dessert. And as a bonus, I will let you educate us on the great atmosphere and what to expect as we waddle into WaGriz , because we have never, ever heard about that before. Is it cold and loud?

I'm just glad we don't have to play UNDSU in Grand Forks again this year. We had to play there twice last year.

You've never heard of the atmosphere at WaGriz, and I'm the one who needs to get out more? Look, all I'm saying is that it will be neat to see the Minnesota boys have the chance to play in a real venue.

You've never been to Montana in August, I take it.

Maybe the NDSU coaching staff can round up some sheep at the ag research facility and bring them with. I hear most of the sheep in Montana are scared shitless, so these ones would be right for the picking. Maybe this would force some Montana guys to not come to the game and would allow a few more Bison fans to get in and nullify the effects of your 7,000 seat stadium.

If that doesn't work, I guess the coaches could contact EWU and see how they prepare to play in that amosphere, as these days they seem to always kick ass when they go into the big boy stadium.

I thought I had, but maybe I didn't account for the Central time to Mountain time change. It was probably September or April.

Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?
