Locations for 13th and 14th Seeds

Sure hope the Griz get a 13th and not a 14th, just based on first round location.

13th Seeds:

San Diego - West and South
Boise - Midwest and East

14th Seeds:

West and Midwest - Dallas
South - Nashville
East - Wichita

I took this from a Lanardi bracket. If I goofed it up, please fix.

If we end up with a 13 I'll be happy. If we end up with a 14 I'll be mildly disappointed. If we end up with a 12 I'll be ecstatic. If we end up with a 15 I'll probably be ready to hunt someone on the selection committee down and bitchslap them around until they explain WTF happened.

That said I hope we end up a 12th or 13th in Boise against a good match-up like Wichita State, Texas Tech, Arizona or Gonzaga.... or at worst Tennessee. The SEC (except for Kentucky) is often overrated..and Tennessee is one of the teams that often gets VERY overrated and chokes early on. Not sure it'll be like that this year though, they're pretty good...but I'd rather face them than Kentucky.

Based on conference ratings, at worse the GRIZ are a 14. 13 seed is possible too, depends on how the selection committee evaluates the GRIZ. I'd be pleasantly surprised, if the GRIZ got a 12 seed. Pretty hard for me to slot them at a 12 without bias.

I agree. 12th seeds play at the same location as 13th seeds.

Playing as a 14 at Wichita would suck for fans trying to get there from Missoula.

The cost to Wichita and adjacent cities (3 hours) or so is way over $1,000, like $1400, and huge frequent flier miles. Jumped considerably from last night. Almost no seats left on some flights.

Ya the committee whom isnt supposed to consider financial benefits to the NCAA decided to put two texas teams in Dallas in the slot the Griz should have been in....who would have thunk it?
