Brint, not a very complete assessment. You did not note if the coach was a boxers or briefs kinda guy. What is Scott Hyland's favorite meal? What is Kevin Fogg's drink of choice? Inquiring minds want to know.

Like some dude sitting on a computer in Missoula, Montana knows anything about the Liberty football team. But must of you eat his B.S. up like a rabid wolf in a chicken coop.

Well lets see I read the box scores, read the media guides, scroll through all the stats on the season, read the pre-season all conf selection, review the prior year's stats, check the team's message board (if there is one), and watch their video highlights on the season.

You're right, I don't know anything about them.

Additionally - and I would LOVE a truthful answer - WHAT in my scouting report I posted is BS?

I enjoy and look forward to BW's right ups.

Growler has a hatred of optimism and an internet message board envy of BW.

Yeah, I said internet message board envy. :? :? ......lock you doors BW

Liberty Head Football Coach Turner Gill has announced that linebacker Marques Jenkins and offensive lineman Kevin Widener have left the team, effective immediately.

"Kevin Widener and Marques Jenkins have decided to quit the team," commented Gill about the roster changes. "We want thank them for the contributions they brought to our football program. Our players and staff wish them the best in all of their future endeavors."

Jenkins, a senior from Stafford, Va., played in 28 games during his four-year playing career at Liberty and started his first career game this past weekend against Norfolk State. He recorded 29 tackles (16 solo, 13 assisted), five tackles for a loss, two sacks and intercepted his first career pass in Liberty's season opener at Wake Forest.

Widener, a sophomore from Lebanon, Va., has been a reserve member of Liberty's offensive line for the past two seasons after redshirting in 2010. He appeared in three games last season and saw his first action of 2012 against Norfolk State this past Saturday.

The Flames will continue their three-game stretch against Top 25 ranked FCS programs on Saturday when Liberty travels to Missoula, Mont., to face No. 14/12 Montana.

Kickoff at Washington-Grizzly Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. (EST) and the game will be carried on radio and television by the Flames Sports Network.

And yet, I just looked on their board to see what kind of impact it might have, and there is hardly a hint of worry in their posts. Jeez, these liberty fans have faith....... ......pun intended

Look, it'll hurt no doudt. He (Jenkins) was #2 at his position. But he also missed a few tackles in the second half vs NST and had 2 big penalties in 2 games. The dude behind him is a true Freshman who originally committed to Maryland and then changed to LU since his brother plays at LU. He is #22 Dallas Griffiths (6'2" 225) and he has already proven to be a special teams beast. It also looks like the starter and one of our Top LBs Nick Sigmon will be ready and will give it a go.

Well, Let's see your write-up of the game. At least Brint has the gumpton to try to give information about the other team. Also, I don't see the Liberty posters disagreeing with him as they've only added to what he's written. I'll read your analysis if you post it so go for it

Please. I know nothing about Liberty, and neither does Re-Min. You idiots are so gullible that you rest on every word he writes. Funny sh*t! As for me, I rarely read fiction.

one of the dumber things on this board i have ever read. you can have a great amount of knowledge on a team if you do the work. and ask questions. so stupid. do you get smarter about a team the closer you live to the stadium?

unless you're sitting in on practices and team meetings, you have just as much insight to a team as everyone else. amazing what technology can do. i'm a 1,000 miles from the twin cities but can tell you almost anything you wouldn't want to know about the vikings! between having a relative in the organization, a couple subscriptions, and the wonder of the internet, i'd say i have every bit of the same info as anyone living in the cities.

what an asinine statement.

Yeah, coaches now rely strictly on the internet to plan for an opponent. No more wasted hours watching game films. Hell, Brinty is sitting on a veritable gold mine with his ability to analyze teams from game stats! He could make zillions marketing that sh*t!

Why would anyone expect a cogent statement from a Cat fan. They still think they have a #1 team!

So someone on their own time does some research on the opposing team (and a good amount of it) posts their writeup to educate us fans (including yourself) who haven't done the research and know nothing about the other team, and you still bitch?

You are one crabby old fat fuck aren't you?

If you care so much about trying to discredit Brint's writeup on Liberty which is actually backed by research, do your own research, and post your own scouting report. That'd be asking too much from the guy who doesn't even know whether the Griz are playing at home or on the road half the time though, wouldn't it?

Well, another thread bites the dust thanks to the fudge-packer of the year, Growler1.

Keep digging Growler, you might be able to find a reasonable argument up there.

I may be old, but I ain't fat. I'm quite sure that I weigh less that you. Most entitlement mavens diet of Big Macs and super-sized fries give me the advantage.

Oh, and I don't give a rip about "scouting reports". The game is played between the hash marks, not on paper.

love that theory. those who are fans of the best teams clearly know the most about football. ndsu fans are sheer football geniuses. :thumb:

and who said anything about coaching? i am of the belief that coaches usually know more than fans. which is why when you say half the crap you do i disregard it because your high school football resume from the 50's doesn't stack up to the griz coaching staff.

but as fans we have a ton of information at our disposal on every team in the country. pick a team and give me a time frame and i could know a ton about them. where did brint say he knew as much as the liberty coaches? he didn't because he's not an idiot. why are you so bothered by the fact that he loves to analyze teams and give his opinion. why do you care that so many people enjoy reading his opinions? did anyone ever say they agree with every single thing he writes because he claims to be a football guru? nope, and he doesn't. i enjoy reading nfl preview magazines too. more times than not the writers of these never sniffed the nfl and have no knowledge outside of what they learn on their own.

You may not give a rip about them, but the large majority here do enjoy reading Brint's research on the other team. You know..because we'd actually like to know a little about the team the Griz are going to play instead of remaining completely ignorant like you.

Feel free to continue to know nothing about the team, where the game is being played, and nothing about the Griz though. If that makes the game more enjoyable to you then whatever floats your boat...

And the weight thing is just something else you are wrong on...and judging by the picture of you, your moobs and gut, you are wrong by a long shot.

Don't confuse him with facts! He prefers to remain ignorant about the game as a whole...you'll shatter his fragile little world if you overwhelm him with too much information!

  What a riot this Growler guy is, how can he come up with these replies? You would really be knocking 'em dead if this were a third grade class room.

And how can you not call yourself fat? Look at that gut.

Nobody takes your insults seriously when we know who it comes from. A pathetic old man, five foot nothin', that can't keep from tickling his own prostate, to go along with a serious case of BWahlberg-envy.
