Interesting facts here, almost like the 2 best teams are playing in Frisco.

And if you spin it the other way, the Jacks and Griz would be the only Top 25 teams without a loss to a top 25 team. Guess that’ll change Sunday. I love the FCS and the FCS playoffs.

One contender and one pretender. Sorry bunnies, you are going to get exposed as frauds.
Your entire stadium was built with money from a pedophile.
Put the hurt on Grizz, these people deserve it.

Frauds, lol, ok. Average score of 38-10, undefeated and 9 ranked wins. Can’t wait to see the Griz expose them, 🙄.

The bigger they think they are the harder they fall.
Everyone is on one side of the boat, this is easy money for the griz.
You can list all the stats you want, at least our donors aren't on the Epstein list.

Guess Sam won’t be welcome at any Griz tailgates.

Oh thank god! That guy's right about as often as a broken clock.

LOL. I thought the same thing. Bunnies are probably busy patting themselves on the back already.

Well this season he sits at .693 so a little better than a broken clock. Then again none of this is about stats or percentages, it’s about who scores more points. Well in 4 days from now it’ll have kicked off and we will find out. Looking forward to mtg many Griz fans down there.

Don’t feed the trolls Jacked! No sane person thinks SDSU has been anything less than phenomenal.

I think one of things that will make a difference is that all season long Montana has played without healthy defensive lineman in Detrick, Kaschmitter, and Nuce. From what I understand all 3 are ready to go and healthy. That rotation on the defensive line will be critical in this game.
I would like to point out that the creative journalism regarding this game is entertaining at best. One can throw out everything and realize that the game will come down to three components.
Coaching, execution by players, and refs. Both these teams CAN win.

Go Griz!

That will definitely be a huge help for the Griz. Our run game has wore teams down every game this year. Nova is a great example, really close first half where they stuffed the run, then 2nd half Davis ran for 150+. Grubner is a stud but I don’t think he can play every snap without tiring out

That is why we are happy to have that depth back. But, to be clear, Gubner has been playing without tiring out and is now getting the longest rest of his year. This is also his last chance to put himself on major tape before scouts start building their draft boards. I have a feeling that you will come away with a whole new appreciation after watching him play your line. Gub is a fucking animal of a human being, somehow with a heart of gold.

Also, as an aside, I again want to emphasize what a pleasure you Jacks have been to have around the board. We seem to get lots of trolls from many different teams, but you guys have all been courteous and kind while still having solid disagreements. Really a good look for your fanbase.

It's pronounced Gubner, I would practice saying it. He's going to live in your heads for months after this game.

I second this. Glad to have some good Jackrabbit fans over here. Welcome. Enjoy talking about the teams and the game with a little smack thrown it.

That is, rather than the idiot Troll brigade doing nothing but trolling (which some of the idiot Trolls over here do on their own).

The South Dakota National Guard will be doing a flyover during the national anthem again this year. F16’s. They did last year and it was awesome, will send chills up your spine! Some of the pilots who will be flying are on the most recent Jackrabbit Illustrated podcast and talk about the logistics and such of it, pretty interesting if that your kind of thing

Well this is just ridiculous! Further bias against Montana. Everyone is counting out the Montana national guard too! Well the Montana national guard is going to show up and give them game I can guarantee that!!

I kid obviously. That’s pretty cool.

I think this game is close for a majority of the game but the Jacks pull away in the end with their ability to simply wear teams down.

Jackrabbits 31- Great Danes 13

Go Jacks!

Matt jackrabbitsillustrated blog

So, I really liked listening to the long-time, passionate and loyal SDSU fans. But I thought it was really odd that thumper indicated that the Griz podcasts were underestimating the Jackrabbits. But in truth, most of the SDSU podcasters are predicting scores where the Griz lose worse than their Albany predictions.

Prediction

Anything can happen in the National Championship. Last year the Bison felt like a team that was limping to the finish line and I felt that the outcome was never really in doubt. This year, Montana is hot and has a ton of momentum. The Jacks have felt like a certainty for much of the year to at least make it to the National Championship and have been expected to repeat. Anything other than a Championship this year feels like a wasted season and I expect the Jackrabbits to eventually wear down the Montana defensive line, much like NDSU just a few weeks ago. Jackrabbits 31- Grizzlies 10

Prediction

I really like this Villanova offense but they did struggle against the best FCS defense they faced this year in Albany. The Jacks should be able to provide a similar amount of resistance as the Great Danes but with this much talent you just never know. I just don’t know about the Nova defense however. Two years ago Nova was statistically even better than this years version and the Jackrabbits ran through them with ease once they fully committed to the run. However, their attacking style of defense can create turnovers and put the offense behind the sticks if all goes well. All that being said, I think the Jackrabbits take care of business. Jackrabbits 35- Wildcats 13
Go Jacks! Matt

If you haven’t followed any Jackrabbit accounts to learn more I’ll suggest a few.

Jackrabbit Illustrated(blog and pods), really good content. I know some Griz don’t care for them, they are Jacks fans but do a relatively good job of being impartial. Plus if you get a chance come mingle at the tailgate they are putting on Sunday before the game.

Here is the latest blog. I know the prediction will rub many of you the wrong way. Feel free to bristle about it but Matt is a great guy. This enterprise is something he started because he’s passionate. Bringing in the other guys has elevated it.

Matt Zimmer is a beat writer for Sioux Falls Live. He and John Gaskins do a podcast and it’ll cover some Jacks stuff.

Nice to see some Jack fans on the board. Appreciate your viewpoints and being respectful. The one thing not being discussed much is speed. Speed on the D Line and at the linebacker level for Montana. I don’t doubt for two seconds that SDSU’s offensive line simply wears teams down. Clearly they do. What they might not be able to do is get pads/hands on the defense against Montana. At least not frequently enough to create a consistent running lane. Gubner is strong enough to hold his own, but more importantly - how quick he is. He will get double teamed and create opportunities for other players. Then again, he has been getting double teamed all year and he has overcome it. I think this will be a fantastic game and neither team will underestimate their opponent. Jack fans have a lot to be confident about. My prediction is the Griz win a close one 24-21. Defense wins championships.

One thing I think is more important than has been recognized: Our assistant coaches/advisors. In particular, Brent Pease and Tim Hauck. They both have NFL experience but I believe they do this for the love of football. Great experience for the team to draw on, and something you aren't going to get from someone working for a paycheck. They do not get enough credit for what they do.

I won't be surprised if this factor alone makes a difference in the game. However the game turns out, I appreciate the effort and sacrifice of these two individuals.
