Let's see your preseason polls

Pretty close. Starting receiver is Lonyatta Alexander Jr. Sucks they ruled him ineligible last season.... he's a next level talent. Also, Marqui Johnson needs to fit in there somewhere in addition to returns... RB, slot, etc. There are so many talented playmakers on offense it's challenging to get everyone touches.
Facts! Johnson might be the quickest dude on the roster but hasn’t found his role. Alexander will be very good but I am waiting to watch him before making any guarantees.

Soooo, pretty much the same team who went 8-4 (37-7) less your best QB, then?

Mellott was the best QB, but Chambers was very good, could run the main offense, and was certainly the best qb when Mellott was hurt. Replacing top o-linemen who left in the Portal, with a former starters who had been injured last season, may or may not work out. And, the departed guys were very good. Replacing all-conference Valdez with a walk-on transfer from WSU who played in one game and made no tackles last season, doesn't seem like a good trade to me.

I agree this looks like the 8-4 team from last season. While the 2024 team could be better, it looks like it is more likely to be worse. And, then there's the potential Melllott injury

Alexander has 1 catch in 3 years (1 not playing), and he's now your all-world receiver?

Watch his film, Hero sports does a great job on FCS and they expect him to be our top guy. Dude was a four star and 4.6 40 (not super fast but solid) at 6’3” and 206 he is a stud of a sophomore.

Ya, I saw he was a high-rated recruit. However, he hasn't done anything in 2 years of being on a team. And with the Cat passing game in recent years, receivers are mainly blockers. Wasn't the top Cat receiver at about 25 catches last year?

Sorta but dang that year team had the ability to be 11-1. You can say what you want but we were better than Idaho they just out coached us by having a massive TOP advantage and SDSU was very tough. The gris played incredible in the brawl… I don’t know if SDSU could’ve beat them. That team was better than 22 who made the semis

McCullouch started later into the season and dod very well, showed great signs. I think Tommy just need a reciever like McCutchon who can go get balls and I expect Alexander to be that guy.

we were better than Idaho

Lemme guess, “Colter said it”?

Were the griz better than NAU last season?
Yes.

And the records reflect that.

What do the idaho and bub's records reflect? Not to mention idaho beat the bubs.

Also? The Chiefs were better than the Raiders, who they lost to. This ain't that complex, even for a bub.

We already addressed this exact argument in this same thread. See page 6, posts 108-111.
hesucksthecatz tried to say the same thing.
Why can’t bubs just admit UI was better?
Or at least give some objective evidence to support their baseless claim other than “Colter said so.”
It so ridiculous and makes whatever (nonexistent) credibility Colter had go out the window.
Even if you ignore all the objective metrics, just look at how much more talent UI had and the dearth of talent for the bubs, not to mention the coaching and the fact that UI actually played defense

You just proved our own point… you can have a rough day and if you watched the Idaho game, the cats had a bad game plan and Idaho had one of the best game plans I’ve ever seen.

I, uh, yeah, you missed the point entirely.

Records matter. Earlier exits in playoffs matter. The bubs were NOT better than Idaho. Not by any measurable whatsoever.
