Let’s Re-seed the Remaining Teams

Okay, realistically? Until proven otherwise:

1. The Puds: Yeah they didn't play well on Saturday, and there was the JD thing, but they are still a game up on UM right now and like NDSU, UM has to beat them to prove they are the best in Montana, IF they don't look past USD.

2. Montana: There are no better teams in the playoffs right now than the Griz and the Puds. the ONLY reason I give the Puds #1 is due to the BOTW win and having to play them in Bozoland if the Griz beat USD.

3. South Dakota: You don't shut out a playoff team that bad and not be taken seriously. Also, it sorta sheds a light on how weak the SoCon has gotten. I do think they are better than the remaining field.

4. Stephen F Austin: I think if they were on the other side of the bracket they would be in the natty ahead of Tarleton. Tarleton is good, they are NOT #3 good. I REALLY want SFA to beat the PUDS and I really want to see the Griz beat them like we did in '95 in that 70-14 game. That was so awesome. It shut all of my Texas in-laws mouths for a couple of decades.

5. UC Davis: I have them picked to be in the Natty now that NDSU is out of the picture.

6. Tarleton: Because they are better than the rest but worse than the first five.

7. Nova: They are okay, but they won't get past the quarterfinals.

8. Illinois Sate: They played their absolute heats out against NDSU. That was a gutsy win, and they went deep for it, but I think they played themselves out. I don't think they have what it takes to move forward.

I'd probably go

1. bozeman - The Griz are playing better right now, but they have home field.
2. Montana - Playing their best football of the year, which is trouble for the rest of the field.
3. Tarleton - Home field through the semis and still explosive. UND was a good team, and they shut them down.
4. South Dakota - Dangerous team that is running the ball super well.
5. ISU - Flawed team that is still full of dogs. They can beat anyone or lose to anyone.
6. UCD - Started slow against a bad URI team, but figured it out. Probably too many flaws to make the natty, but who knows.
7. SFA - Can be explosive, but the defense is suspect. Sam needs to play his best career game to beat the cats.
8. Nova - A decent team, but I think they have the least talent of any of the remaining teams.

The cats went to 3 because there are two better teams in front of them.

Look, I’m sure you didn’t watch the GRIZ game. But absolutely no fcs team beats the GRIZ playing like they did yesterday.
Considering MSU beat UM in Missoula with huge stakes on the line, not sure how you can say UM is better than MSU. I get that UM played very well on Saturday and MSU did not, but we already have the head to head matchup in a place where UM has a huge advantage. Should they play again, that advantage won't be there. It definitely matters.

He pretty much explained his thinking.

Because it's not a static pole.

Two weeks ago, I would have absolutely had msu #1. Right now -- today -- UM is the best team in the nation. Period.

Hey, if you want to use a one game sample, be my guest. Doesn't make much sense, but what do I know.

You're literally using a one-game sample, too, though lmao
No, I'm using the entirety of the season plus a head to head matchup having great value. It doesn't matter though. I suspect we'll find out again in a couple weeks. Heaven help my heart.

You are coping, but it's fine. I still have you guys ahead of us because we haven't won in bozeman since 2015, but if we get past USD, I am very excited to play your team again with our best defensive player back on the field, and our offense with a nasty chip on their shoulder.

I guess I don't see what I would have to cope about? It's not that deep.

I don't blame you for being excited/confident either. You guys have a very good team and Loud definitely makes you better.

I have to say, this is such a cool and at the same time, awful, experience. I'm not going to pretend I like the Griz, or anything like that. In general, I don't cheer for UM. I love the rivalry. I love your fans (for the most part). I greatly respect the program, and shocker, I even really like Bobby! I think he's hilarious tbh. I think we're both part of what makes college football great. At the same time, for both sides, losing to the other team more than sucks. Now we have it where both teams are legitimately amongst the best in the nation, they play differently, and yet they're both pretty equal at the end of the day. Whoever loses the rematch, if we both make it, it's going to hurt a hell of a lot more than if it were to anybody else, and I really do hate that. Both teams should garner a lot of respect from the fanbases, and I know that a lot of my Cat brethren won't do it, but do know there's a lot like me too. I know I'm rambling, but long story short, I love that we're both two of the top teams in the nation, and I hate it too. Hope you guys win, and we win, and we meet in Bozeman for 2.0.

He didn't realize it. Now he has a decision: (a) Employ the "I'm just messing with you" sentiment; or (b) Double-down via illogical mental gymnastics.
CDA nailed it, some form of a.
