Laramie Tailgating Plans?

Just a FYI to those who are planning on tailgating:
(1) Tailgating is allowed in all the parking lots but open containers are only allowed in certain lots, all of which require memberships (or donations) to the Cowboy Joe Club. The minimum membership is $100 which buys one parking pass into the Cowboy or North lots (see link: http://cowboyjoeclub.com/membership/priority-parking/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).
(2) I read somewhere that NDSU fans took over the baseball field parking lots just north of the football stadium and tailgated there, which would still be allowed but under current policies, open containers wouldn't be allowed. I'm not sure how strictly the policy is enforced--perhaps someone else (Titleist?) would know.
(3) Otherwise, tailgating festivities will be inside the Indoor Practice Facility and the two parking lots closest to the game for the majority of UW fans.

I'm contemplating buying a membership and tailgating in the Cowboy Lot but wanted to see if anyone else was planning on doing the same. Also does anyone know the plans for the Alumni Assoc?

I would but I'm trying not to add hours to my drive home in Idaho. Looks like I get a night's stay in Rawlins!

Can't wait for you to supply our tailgate with meth!!

Mr. T, I hear ya! Back in 1980 my dad was scheduled to interview for the Rawlins head football job...he got 30 miles from town, found the nearest pay phone, called and said "please withdraw my name".

What's what most people do when they get near Rawlins. Got stranded there one night coming back from California.. roads were closed.. wasn't terrible, but not my cup of tea.

Looking for a room in Laramie...all sold out...

Check Cheyenne 50 miles to the East. A lot of accommodations in the capital city.

It's a bit of a drive but I hear Rock Springs is a lovely little town. Especially if you're into meth induced hot man on man action.

I was going to add a comment to the effect that as bad as Rawlins is, Rock Springs is way way worse. Had a project down there once and will never take another in that area. Meth heads to rival any Cheney student housing. And worse people. For further info see: James McMurtry's song "lights of Cheyenne" and the old Dennis Hopper movie "Red Rock West"

I believe 60 Minutes called it the murder capitol of the U.S. (per capita) back in the boom of the 80's. I had an opportunity to work the oil fields there as a summer job in the 80's. I stayed in the electric bummer and drank beer and had sex with women. Best decision I ever made. Didn't make much money but I still have all my fingers. Plus I've never been anally raped.
