GrizzGriz said:Mr. T, I hear ya! Back in 1980 my dad was scheduled to interview for the Rawlins head football job...he got 30 miles from town, found the nearest pay phone, called and said "please withdraw my name".

Check Cheyenne 50 miles to the East. A lot of accommodations in the capital city.

It's a bit of a drive but I hear Rock Springs is a lovely little town. Especially if you're into meth induced hot man on man action.
I believe 60 Minutes called it the murder capitol of the U.S. (per capita) back in the boom of the 80's. I had an opportunity to work the oil fields there as a summer job in the 80's. I stayed in the electric bummer and drank beer and had sex with women. Best decision I ever made. Didn't make much money but I still have all my fingers. Plus I've never been anally raped.Buttegrizzle said:Ursa Major said:The Virginian said:GrizzGriz said:Looking for a room in Laramie...all sold out...

I was going to add a comment to the effect that as bad as Rawlins is, Rock Springs is way way worse. Had a project down there once and will never take another in that area. Meth heads to rival any Cheney student housing. And worse people. For further info see: James McMurtry's song "lights of Cheyenne" and the old Dennis Hopper movie "Red Rock West"
