Lamson > Ay Yat

While completion percentage for Bobcat QBs is largely a political statistic, an argument could be made that Lamson is the best QB in BSC history.

Completely subjective and political.

I'm told there are better methods to determine post-season accolades.

Lamson was able to get up to 2d team because the Cats won conference. Otherwise he would have been below that. Yes, politics got him there. Same way with Brott. Lamson had games where he threw only 10 and 12 passes, I believe.

I honestly don't know what "politics" means in this context.

I know winning teams produce more all conference selections...but, I don't think that's politics...I think it is common sense.

🤷‍♂️

Wins are political statistics in the Bobcat context, much like losses in the Griz context. Virtually meaningless to the informed follower.

My neighbor and I had this debate yesterday. The numbers don’t stack up to support his argument. Lamson is very good, but is he really better than Ah Yat? I don’t think he is. Two different systems and Ah Yat was very disciplined with not trying to do too much last year with his feet. Lamson was 15th in the conference for rushing yards and the Cats had three players in the top 15. Lamson also had a better defensive squad to help him out in my opinion. He is poised and a good leader. So is Ah Yat and this is probably the year he really comes into his own. BSC stats show two pretty evenly matched QB’s. Interceptions were understandably higher for Ah Yat given he aired quite a bit more. 470 attempts vs. 356. Lamson has the hardware and Ah Yat has plenty of motivation. Going to be great battles to watch this season.
Just wondering, did your neighbor move next to you, or did you move next to him?

You would be wrong on your last sentence. Better reboot the AI machine. ;)

In all seriousness, if you’re bothered by lack of passes attempted, are you suggesting that it should be a purely statistical award? I’m curious what you actually think.
