looks like the Griz are trying to slow it down...they had this team on the ropes and now they are trying NOT to lose as opposed to going to the win.....the Griz need to get back to the play that gave them the lead before allowing the Pitt team to take a lead...Brittany is playing a hell of a game....the Griz are depending waaaaay to much on the 3....
 
halftime Pitt leads 26-25 over the lady Griz.

I don't really think they are playing slow, or playing 'not to lose'. This Pitt team is big and talented.
 
Great half by the Lady Griz against a very good team. Let's hope they can keep it going in the 2nd half.
 
lady griz are the 3 tho. they cant play inside on pitt. we are too small. three and kick around and drive thats the Off. They have played one hell of a game so far. if they come out of lthe half like they did the first half i think we could win
 
The game is on TV - ESPN2 alternate. Channel 146 on Dish Network. I don't know what channel it would be on DTV or cable.

If nothing else, it should at least give them the confidence that they can play with Pitt. Depth might be the issue, but we'll see in the 2nd half.

no...they opened this game loose and prepared...now, they are getting caught up in the double team and don't appear to be able to adjust...let's hope the second half opens like the first...you are right, the Pitt girls are for real...well, as this game shows, so are the GRIZ and now it is a coaching game....smaller kids have certain advantages over the tall kids if they know how to use it....a strong drive toward the paint can produce more fouls and that is a key in beating a bigger and faster team.....this is the last chance they have this year...why not go for it? They proved to all, especially those who post here so often so negatively, that they can compete with the very, very best of the East.....this ain't over yet...so goooooo, Lady Griz.....c'mon Robin.....do your thing..
 
damn...the Pitt women came out expecting to win and they are confident....this walking the ball down to the other half is a sure way of losing the rhythm of this game...and that spells a loss for the team that doesn't attack....
 
Dissapointing....Mandy doesn't look like she wants it and is not playing like a superstar. Those passes against the trap are terrible....quit lobbing the ball. They need her to take over the game.

BTW, it is on standard ESPN2 on Bresnan but not the HD ESPN2. May make a difference for some.

too bad....they opened very well and decided to settle for the 3 instead of forcing the play...too many passes..not able to handle the double down...no rhythm.....they had a chance...amazing how often this happens in tournament play when the lower seed realizes they have a shot then change what brought them there.....
