Lady Griz vs. EWU

Lady Griz lose 61 - 56. People say Lady Griz need to play better defense. Certainly they do but they are getting better. Much better. They held a team averaging 72 points a game down to 61 which was only reached because the Lady Griz had to foul them near the end. And they came within spittin' distance of winning a game when shooting only 33% for the game. Some clutch shooting would have helped at the end.

The tournament is the important event in march. I am feeling a bit more confident by then, the Lady Griz will be a strong contender to win it.
 
People worry about defense. If an opposing player scores 20 and our player scores 21, I'm fine with that!!!

LG did lose by 5. The average differences in scores, surprisingly, over the first thirty or forty years of the BSC, has been about 5 to 6 points. Meaning, the home team has averaged, against all BSC opponents combined 5 to 6 points less on the road than at home. But a silly observation on my part. Win the next three games at home and worry about it later. Should be a very, very close game next time in Missoula against EWU when we start shooting our averages again. with but losing by 5 this latest edition. We're lucky, some teams have had to forfeit. And then the neutral court at Boise for the 'rubber match,' if need be.
