What does this mean for the Griz in terms of moving up? To be honest the Alamo Bowl isn’t even a bad bowl game compared to many others.

Did you even read the article?

How much did MSU lose playing in the FCS NC?

No governance, no controls, no oversight produces poor financial results.

"According to the audit, CU treated the Alamo Bowl as a Tier 1 bowl, when it should have been treated as a Tier 2 game, and that the university did not have a “formally approved budget, resulting in decentralized spending, limited financial oversight, and expenses exceeding bowl revenues.”

Zero relevance to if for the Griz

But that’s not what the article says. It says Colorado SPENT $4.21 million. That’s absurd.
Spending $4.21m isn’t absurd if they made more than that or atleast in the same ballpark which they would have with a tier 1 bowl game. The problem is the tier 2 bowl game didn’t pay them nearly as much but they spent like it was a tier 1 bowl game.
