Georgia 66
Lady Griz 38

Same result as last time in 2000. 2000 lg team had a better offense than this year's team, but this year's team has better defense. Therefore lower score by both teams. Of coure, i hope I am wrong and LG surprises me with a win.

A 28 point loss prediction from a "True"Griz? Mmm...

Even a true Griz fan has to face reality some times.

You face reality if you lose, not before you play the game!
Nice.. :thumb:

Looking at the roster for Georgia they don't have that dominating height factor; their leading scorer is a 6'2" Forward Jasmine Hassell followed by a 5'9" Guard Jasmine James: 12.9 and 10.9 respectively in scoring average. They're a senior laden team with five seniors, one junior and the rest are sophomores and freshmen, with three or four main starters and having started nine different players at various times.

They're not much in shooting the trey = 27.3 %; nor in FreeThrows either: 66.5 % but they do average 40.0 % in FG percentage and are a defensively orientated team in holding their opponents to a 53.3 scoring average while but averaging 66.5 points themselves. Still a thirteen point spread. THE LG at least average 33.1 % in their treys and 72.2 % in FreeThrows; though but 38.3 in FG percentage.

The main characters for Georgia is probably their senior discipline and the fact Hassell averages 54.3 on FG shooting. Other than a couple others in the 40.5 to 41.8 range, most of their roster is but in the 35.1 to 39.1 in Field Goal shooting. With that I can't gather that they're even that much of a transition sort of style defense; not with those FG percentages. Whatever.

They only have three players on their roster over 6-feet (two at 6'2 and one 6'3") ; all the others are 5'7" and four at 5'9" and one at 5'11." Hassell and James their main threats with Anne Marie Armstrong, the 6'3" guard/forward, another strong possibility to watch out for.

It may not be all that much of a competition for rebounds - both teams might break out even in that regard: the LG are going to have to hit their FreeThrows, if they are allowed to shoot any, that is. And hit a better percentage on their treys and maintain a constant defensive pressure, if possible. Georgia seems to go deep in their lineup as well; and the LG really ought to try to avoid looking foolish in trying passes that just aren't there. Keeping the turnovers to a minimum, if at all possible.
