Grizindabox, I wasn't referencing you other than you sayind "does Brady get a pass on here". Like I said, it doesn't matter if every fan gives him a pass or every fan thinks he sucks.
And between Chalich and Brady when it comes to production so far? I guess that depends on what your definition of production is. In nine quarters, BG threw for 841 yards and four TD's, completing 59 percent of his passes. In seven quarters, Chalich has thrown for 507 yards, two TD's and is completing 59 percent of his passes. They are essentially both 1-1 in the W-L column. And from an eye test persepctive, I don't think anyone could say in the 2 wins, the Griz offense looked better against NAU than it did against NDSU.
That Liberty loss is on BG. Plain and simple.
BG Drive 1: 3 plays, 1 yard
BG Drive 2: 9 plays, 23 yards
BG Drive 3: 9 plays, 33 yards
Total: 21 plays, 57 yards....a whopping 2.7 yards per play.
CC Drive 3: 5 plays, 49 yards (FG)
CC Drive 4: 1 play, 65 yards (TD)
CC Drive 5: 4 plays, 1 yard (FG)
CC Drive 6: 3 plays, -1 yard
CC Drive 7: 11 plays, 81 yards (TD)
CC Drive 8: 3 plays, 54 yards (Fumble on 1 yard line)
Chalich led the team to points in four of his first 5 drives, and would have been 5/6 if not for the untimely fumble by Counts at the 1 yard line. Then, admittedly, the wheels came off in the 4th quarter. But, by the time Chalich saw the ball for the first time this year his team was in a 17 point hole that he ALMOST dug them out of.
Chalich is 1-0. BG is 1-2. Yeah, that one win was a big one, but he was VERY pedestrian in his last 5 quarters. And that's being kind.
