Kramer in trouble again

My point wasn't that shoving the player to the ground would make him a better player but it might get the point across that he needs to listen or whatever point the coach was trying to get across and by doing that he MIGHT have a chance to improve. And if anyone is trying to equate a slap to a child's head with shoving a football player to the ground then that is beyond absurd. And implying it is "corporal punishment" is even yet more absurd. What ever happened to the notion of learning by overcoming adversity? If this had happened to me as a young man (and yes anyone old enough to be handed a rifle to fight in a war is a man) it might have bothered me some but it also would have been motivation to figure how to not let it happen again. We coddle people (even adults) so much these days that they have come to expect everything for nothing. This society is doomed.
+1000 It's all about "self esteem" and participation ribbons. I have fond memories of about having my head ripped off by my facemask for missing a block or for piss poor effort. Do I hate the man? HELL NO! He made me better than I ever thought I could be. And my parents backed him every step of the way.

Please tell us more stories from the old days. And about how you were so much better/tougher than the "kids of today." They are so precious!

At Butte Central, the teachers beat kids with a leather strap..it became a status symbol to see how 'shots" you could take without pulling your hands back....I have rejected Roman Catholicism and religion since....and I am a better person for it. I would sue anyone who did that to any of my kids, albeit, after I dealt with them at home..my way! Which was a lot more painful, I can assure you. violent parents breed violent kids...the circle must be broken or the kids and their kids will be the losers.

Yeah you got beat......

And actually you are exactly 180 degrees off on you pop psychology violent parents breed kids who are afraid to discipline their kids. They are the participation ribbon crowd.

I know Krames. He runs the show. Not the players or some smart ass wideout who gives a shit about his team. Graves said "He didn't want to look like a punk?" You play at ISU and think your to good to do one on one match up's with a freshman CB? Child Please.....You've been punked your whole college playing time. YOU PLAY FOR ISU! Coach Kramer is trying to change that "punk" additude. He's not a bully, he's a pretty good dude. He does not run a cross the field to get in someone face for no reason. Yelling in your face and then shoving you in full football gear is a crime? Lock me up with you mr. graves and I'll show you, what bein "punked" is all about. Try going to class and listening to your coaches. You just might not end up on the wrong side of a gun in Alabama when your free ride is over at ISU. I hope your first job interview goes better then the one you gave on ESPN. Your new boss "This is what I was telling you about. It's called a dishwasher." " I know it doesn't look anything like your ex-girlfriend or your mom." "But, they didn't come here looking for work."

If only he could have done more.

At first I thought I was watching a video off The Onion. This kid has earned all the ridicule he undoubtedly is receiving or will receive. I had a good belly laugh at the video.

I love how people jump from a coach gently shoving a player to the soft turf to beating children -- as if they are actually related in any way. Had it been the old Holt Arena turf then it might be assault with a deadly weapon...
