a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities

Admitting one's over confidence, an element of the narcissistic disorder, is perhaps the only act one can take to persuade others maybe they don't have the disorder. Or could it just be narcissistic reverse psychology? Any of you Freuds our there want to chime in?

Wait, I'm lost. Narcissistic disorder, self-confidence issues? When did this thread morph into a Brian Williams discussion?

Wasn't Krakaeur's last project busting Greg Mortenson's chops for "liberties" he took in Three Cups of Tea? Lets see if his Missoula book can stand up to scrutiny....

if you're so confident then why do you run to the mods crying whenever someone puts your name in a post?

I don't. Don't think I've flagged a post relating to me more than a time or two in at least a year.

Why are so many of your posts factually inaccurate?

Is this a forum about Griz football & the FCS, or is it one about posters? I forget.
if we are going to make this about posters I have one I want to talk about. I have had this poster since around 1985. It has a cat desperately hanging on a wire, and says "hang in there baby". I'm starting to think that cat is never going to make it, and should just give up. Thoughts? Time to get rid of the poster, or keep the faith?

First, that damn cat's got remarkable paw strength.

Second, I'd continue to keep the faith, but I'd recommend covering up that poster with one with Farah Fawcett on it nonetheless.

Thanks for the feedback, but I think I will pass on putting up a mid-'80's Farrah Fawcett The Burning Bed poster. That's just sick. Maybe on-point to this thread but still sick.

My one and only post on this thread. An Announcement.

"On behalf of Jon Krakaeur, the publishing house Doubeday would like to thank egriz for all of the free publicity and creating a buzz about his new book which will be released in 2 months. Also, thank you for creating this thread which will help validate Jon's chapter on the vitriol associated with anonymous fan message boards. As a result we will be donating a portion of our sales to the Gwen Florio for mayor campaign. Royce Engstrom, treasurer. Thank you. Your dysfunction has been invaluable to our promotional campaign."

Yes, without a doubt it is time for the cats to just give up. They are never going to make it.

And I've got a sick ass "Wizard of Boz" poster with Brian Bosworth that can kick any of your posters' asses!

One and only serious post of the year: Since everyone is in agreement here, maybe it might be a good idea to lock it up. Let me repeat, it might be a good idea to lock it up. I can't emphasize enough the importance of locking this up. Thanks.

I was always quite partial to the Heather Thomas poster in the pink bikini where she's got her thumb holding the strap on the bottoms. Anyone remember that?

Remember it? It's the wallpaper on my laptop.

Suhweeet!

I always thought she looked mildly deranged in that poster. Not that "mildly deranged" is a bad thing, mind you ....
