Some must have watched a different game then I did. Cats suck but they played pretty well in the second half.

Offense was downright awful in the first half...and they still pulled out a victory. A big change from the prior two years. The funny thing about Troy is that despite how much has change for him over the past two years since high school...he still QB'ed a game almost identical to how he did it at Dillon: slow first halfs/electric second halfs. MSU's offense has a ton to improve on as a whole unit (finding their identity) but they still pulled out a win against a playoff team from last year. Proud of the boys.

Happy that you pulled out a win against a Mo Valley team. That makes us all look good. State did just enough to win. Be careful, though. That qb is taking a LOT of punishment. If any defense can force him to pass then you guys have problems. Love his moxie, but he’s not going to be long for this game if he keeps it up like he is.

Absolutely agree. Needs to keep making strides and be ready to roll once the conference season starts. He flashed tonight though. I needed to see a college-ready QB for at least a few drives and it happened.

Now it's your turn. Ranked 4th in Conference griz get a shot at a crappy 7th ranked MV Conf team in a couple weeks. As bad as we looked, we're 1-0! Go Cats!!!

You guys said that about Murray too. I think they will make adjustments this week and he will not be running as much.

Yes, however the Griz did not force him to pass. He was able to run a bunch. Just like today, if WIU was able to shut down the run, then your QB absolutely would not have had the night he did. He would have had to throw a lot more and the game would have had a whole different color to it. Hats off to him, he fought hard and did his state and school proud.

it seemed like this game was played with a short field. How many passes where completed beyond 10 yards by either team "not counting yards after catch". I did not catch the first part of the game but it seemed like no one stretched the field at all.

The interesting part is that UM could lose by 50 to Western Indiana in a couple weeks, but you will still be a Bobcat fan. You are a fan of the State College Bobcats. Read that slowly. Let it sink in. The Bobcats. Think objectively. State College Bobcats. Check the url. That's what's happening.

Good on you, Fathead.

Didnt watch the broadcast. Were there any scenic shots meant to highlight the lovely shores of the shit pond as the sun faded slowly away into the evening?

Where the ef is PoorGriz! I was telling him he shouldn’t claim the Cats D will be the best in the Big Sky because right now they are getting abused. Shit, if the refs didn’t eliminate 65 yards on questionable holds it would even be worse. PoorGriz = SillyRabbit

Well I was at the game, so that answers your first question. Secondly, I never said our D would be the best in the Big Sky so quit making shit up. Lastly, it's cute reviewing these threads when you guys were all giddy thinking the Bobcats were gonna suck.

Choach is looking shook. They have to get a turnover or something right here to get them going. It might be a decent idea to get some pressure on the QB, but I'm no expert.

I though PoorGriz and BS33 told us the D would be the best ever. That they’d have a ton of pressure now with Sterk and that the secondary would dominate. I have seen ZERO pressure.

Seriously, do you feel kind of dumb right now?

That's funny shit right there. griz will have their hands full with WIU for sure, and they'll absolutely have their hands full with UNI come Saturday night.

I, for one, am glad you guys won. However, as usual, you guys get out of your shit pond and come back over here time and again to crow about your little win. Enjoy it, but seriously leave your stink at home. You got lucky against a team that is picked to finish 7th in the Mo Valley.

Has that changed? Not based on the one-dimensional shit they showed last night.

Defense looked good the second half though, not sure how much WIU having exactly one offensive player who wore down factored into that. Kicker looks legit which helps.

Hard to get much out of sloppy first games, time will tell for everybody.

...can dress choate up...
...take him out to the game...
...he'll always look like a naia guy...

...and ty last night...

WIU should have won. They were the better team. However WIU and Bobkitties look like bottom dwelling teams. Both of them will have a losing record this year.

So let me get this straight. Dalton goes for a buck-seventy five on the ground, hits a pass or two, kick a few field goals, play some defense & avoid the stupid penalties, they beat UWIU in two weeks?

239 yards of TO for Cats. WIU had 317.

2 picks by Cats. No turnovers by Cats.

Anderson was 12-21 for 81 yards. 24-145 rushing.

Cats better improve offense if they are going to win games. They miss Murray.

Cats had one turnover via interception.

Thanks. Fixed it. Didn't see whole game and missed that in the early stats.
