I have a cat friend who's mother is his aunt and his dad is his uncle. He actually turned out ok.info said:Retiredram1 said:I have a cat friend-I know but it's important to celebrate diversity-who said after homecoming that if they could have just had last year's offense with this year's defense, they could win the Big Sky!
And if my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle....![]()

Serious problems for the QB position. A quick, agile 17 year old runner who can't throw, but he got 187 yards rushing, and a passing QB who can't throw either (19 yds, 2 out of 9 tries). It's been a long time since the Cats have had a real QB problem, but they've got one now. That's a natural result of blowing up a whole program trying to fix just one part of it.
The trick play at the end was as badly bungled as any I've seen. They needed a Hail Mary, and instead got Keystone Kops meets Buster Keaton.
Attendance was 7,759.

Is that paid or actual butts in the seats?
The Red Queen is going to be seen somewhat differently from here on out. Her penchant for firing everyone in sight when she's having a bad day is beginning to have negative consequences for the school as a whole, enrollment notwithstanding. Ash got a raw deal there, and the football program is paying the price.big kahuna said:Worst offense I've seen at MSU in many years. And once teams figure out that Murray doesn't want to pass the ball, well, it's only going downhill from here.

Re: 8 points....
Did anyone ever notice that the Griz have a way of winning these close games. Wonder why? I think we have a lack of pride. It starts with us. If you point out our stadium and attendance many say it not much of an advantage. If you get too fired up about the football program you get the "their just kids" story. If we complain about .500 seasons we get reminded it could get worse. I think the streak is still affecting us to this day. The attitude that being average is actually good. The expectation that eventually we will resort back to what we always do. No one is bummed that we folded again, only when it happened. It's great if we fold in the playoffs and get blown out but not against Sac St in our 2nd conference game. If you believe, as I do, that a team with our recruiting advantages should be a FCS power year in and year out you are the minority.
Becoming a Bobcat is about taking pride in being grown up, leveling expectations, making friends with Griz fans so when we fold it doesn't come with too much grief, or my favorite- bragging about non sports related victories like enrollment numbers. Don't get me wrong, glad MSU is thriving, but to act like winning in that manner or by collecting more soup cans than the Griz is more gratifying than winning the football rivalry is just plain ridiculous.
Cat fans take pride in being the adult in the room, keeping football in perspective, not putting too much emphasis on the game. That way of thinking is so backwards. These kids put their heart and soul into football. Wonder what Choate would say if they said, "coach it's just a game and we are still pretty much kids so who cares". Pride could have carried us through last Saturday but instead a program that is content with mediocrity folded and let a team who has no business even being in the same conference as us take the game.
Pride and expectations are something the Griz have in abundance. I hate their arrogance but have to admit that I wish we had a little of it.
