Kirshner

So a kid who has been buried on the depth chart at running back for 4 years now wants to switch positions to safety - good for him in looking for a change. But now eGriz is toting him as the next Colt Anderson and your secondary woes will be fixed? Wow people, how desperate are you all.

Seriously, good luck to Kirsh with your position change, but even more luck dealing with Griz fans and the pressure of being the best Pac-12 safety in the Big Sky Conference. :thumb:
4 years, is that basic cat math?

CV Griz you are funny. Open tryouts for the safety position, Tulley & Hermanson having a free ride to a starting position - that is funny stuff. Like it or not, Tulley and Hermanson were the two best safties on the roster. Do you really think there was a potential all Big Sky Conference guy sitting on the bench not getting to play? Pretty sure they play the best guys.

I apologize for not knowing the the graduation status of your 4th string running back. Maybe I should considering he is the best athlete on the team now that Gerald Kemp has graduated.

Where do you get 4 years...he will be a junior next year and has lots of talent. At least we can be excited about some competition at safety next year. Without Jody "can't win the big one" Owens, Minter, and Schreibies (sp)...(and sketchy thin OL) you had better be doing lots of hoping too.

Well...next playing year will be his 4th year here. He redshirted his first year.

Why not run Gamboa out there to see what he has? My point was that the starting safeties played poorly last year and there were not any consequences. Burntett got fired. Maybe evaluating safety talent wasn't his strength.

Kirshner couldn't be an worse than Fuller, I mean the hurdle that guys jump over before they score a TD.

I know Dan Moore destroyed Fuller...but the kid did make 1st team all conference this year. Just sayin.

There you are again defending the Bobcats for the 50th time. Where did you go to undergrad?

Not ashamed I went to MSU, it's a good university. Sorry for bringing up facts. Not my fault that some guy said Kirschner couldn't possibly be worse than the guy who made 1st team All-Conference this year. So tell me, what exactly was wrong with what I said? Are you that insecure that you can't admit when your rival school does something right? I think you might be.

Figure out how to win in December, then bring your lame smack!

I have this feeling we will be much better at the safety position next year. See my solution below!

If they let me I put Tripp back and let er buck. We have much depth at LB so why not?

Why did the Root announcers talk about all of Hermanson's injuries, but no one on this board talked about them? How were they privy to such info?

He was hurt early on. None of the coaches mentioned it. Seems like I remember during game one or two and it was mentioned that he was injured. I never new what was hurting on the kid. One guy said he thought a shoulder was dinged. Remember this he played quite well for a true freshman the year before. And for Breske who was a no nonsense kind of coach. So the injury could have been the reason his performance was off this past season.

This type of safety play has been lacking since #19. We need DB's who opposing WR's fear.

Jumping in late Hammer. I agree with you but a big issue in the season the secondary never did any film together, so being on the same page wasn't going to happen. I agree more could have been doen, but the two groups did separate film study and two completly different sets of practice unless it was team.

THey have to get the two positions in the same room to get on the same page.

Umista, you are on the right track. The question becomes, which Hermanson is the "true" Hermanson frosh year or soph year? Even last year he struggled against the more athletic teams. See SHSU playoff game. Remember also that Breske was
was a close friend of Hermanson's father.Who knows? The fact Breske left to WSU could have had an impact on Hermanson too.

Funny... we won the same number of games in December as you did in November
