Hammer. Yep, we were by the pumphouse and you got it. glo hooks and maggots about 2 ft. off the bottom in about 14 ft. of water. Did well for 2 hours in the morning then it got real slow. Cranked quite a bit of beer then got a ride home from my designated driver gf.
Any truth to the rumor that there's a guy at 7 gables that used to play for the packers?
Come on, if you were 2 feet off the bottom in about 14 feet of water you would be in the middle of the the lake not the pump house. You got the red shack?
fanofzoo. We were only a couple hundred yds out. Maybe I've got my locations mixed up. I only go to G-town once every few years if there isn't any ice around here (Sanders/Lincoln county). Past 7 gables, go right, park (old marina?). The battery in my marcum isn't holding a charge so we went old school with a depth gauge. My feet of water number could certainly be off. Not to mention we got a little tuned up.
Got the kokes in the smoker as we speak. Oh, and here's a little pro tip for any rookies out there. Keep 10 or 12 koke fillets and run them through the meat grinder. Form them into a couple patties, coat them in flour, water and panko flakes and fry them in a cast iron skillet. It's good. trust me.
