Kevin Henderson DUI

I believe the minimum suspension for a misdemeanor, which this is, would be 1 game. I do think Tinkle will punish him further though it may not be a suspension. Interesting how the online Missoulian said he was over .02, why wouldn't they say he was over .08 if he was? It isn't like they ever cut a Griz player some slack.

Or the Kaiman could have reported it wrong!

That would be my bet.

.02 is the legal limit for underage drivers so that is probably why it was reported that way.

Seems since Florio tried to destroy Griz football, every UM incident goes straight to national news outlets...

Yeah. I am sure Alyssa Smith's foundation would love a little bit of USA Today. Here is a challenge to Florio. If you think you are not all negative towards Griz athletics's, why dont you use those negative connections and try to send out Alysa Smiths story for a positive spin on Griz athletes?

Agreed wholeheartedly Keena! But Hell will have frozen over and heated back up again before that happens.

For those who dont know? Alyssa spear headed a fundraiser this weekend at the Ladies game that raised $15,000 for young burn victims. Many volunteers including all of UM ladies athletics, local firefighters, forest service, local volunteers, (UM football team)"those devils", and many others. She did a great job, and needs to be recognized for it! :thumb:

What is truly amazing is that the piece on GoGriz.com regarding the terrific work Alyssa is doing was so much better written than ANYthing I've read in the Missoulian in years.

THAT is sad. And telling.

Your right. The Missoulian, and Florio need to go back and get schooled

A 1997 Nissan? At least we won't draw any attention from the NCAA for giving athletes freebies. No Earl Campbell-type recruiting red flags here for sure. It is actually refreshing to hear that a Griz B-baller drives such a benign vehicle. UM Campus "Police" are a complete joke. They got nothing better to do than pull over a broken tail-light? And assuming Henderson's BAC was between .002 and .008, this is completely nothing. If he was over .008 he would have got a DUI, which he didn't.

Tinks, wisely, gave a 1-game suspension for this minor indiscretion. Nothing further is required. Weber didn't suspend any of their post-game brawlers, did they?

Anyone want to know what kind of policy Tinkle has on drinking if you want to be on the team? What about some of the other elite teams like Duke for instance. Would seem to me they wouldn't allow it and that would help in their producing stellar teams.
Only thing is, we arent a normal team anymore because of all the other problems in Missoula and UM? The rules probably got alot more strict this year

Apparently not!! I see where Tinkle is suiting him up this week... So much for UM Athletics cleaning up their act!! I guess the "win streak" is just too darned important!!

Lets hope this lack of setting an example does not lead to the next drinking fatality on the campus!

He got a 2 game suspension which is more than what was policy. Every incident should be taken on a case by case. He shouldn't have to pay for others in the past as well as get off because of others in the past also. I trust Tinkle knows more than we do and is doing the right thing.

Jesus  What should his punishment have been then? Expulsion? Public tar and feathering? 10 years in jail? Siberian work camp?

The guy didn't even blow .08. One glass of wine with his girlfriend over dinner would be enough to get him to .02. It's not as if he was out driving after shooting 27 Crowns.

But, as I've stated many times on this site, unfortunately you can't change stupid.

He is a minor thus the .02 DUI... the article said he was over .02 but did not mention how far over... And you are absolutely correct, you cannot change stupid. You condoning this action is proof of that!
