Keep an eye on

Schmidt, the benchwarmer, continues to root against Montana. Got caught big time tonight. Again. Too funny. I'm told a large group of his teammates have period communications but don't include him. I assume the shows what they think of him.

He’ll make more in the NFL after being our feature back this season rather than being on a running back rotation on Indiana or Iowa State for 1 season then not playing football again.
Maybe. But if somebody offers you $500k for one year of work, you take it.

Maybe it’s the perfect time to get over this weird personal grudge you have with him because he dared to point out the obvious about 2.0.

And if you hadn’t noticed, much of Griz Nation agreed with him.
It seems like Bobby Kennedy agreed with most of what Schmidt said as well. Recruiting philosophy being more centered around Montana high school players and changing how strength and conditioning is managed are the 2 changes I have heard him say he will be making. These were also the 2 things Schmidt was hammering the hardest all season.

Out of curiosity, when and how did he say that he was changing the strength and conditioning program?

I was told by a former player that is connected with the program that Dan Ryan is going to stay at a minimum for the remaining year on his contract but that he will be managed differently under BK which I understood as Dan Ryan will be given more free rain of the strength program and BK will be hands off in this area. He hasn’t stated such publicly which isn’t surprising that he doesn’t want to come off as criticizing Bobby Hauck but BK also knows that Dan Ryan was hired as the strength and conditioning expert and should be trusted to lead in that field.

Kind of what I thought, too. But I've read otherwise here on my most trusted source. I wonder if the fans who wanted BH out so badly are cool with it if causes impact players to also leave.

I don’t know, things change in life. It’s weird. Like nothing lasts forever and Bobby wasn’t going to be here forever. Mind boggling how people get stuck in the now and have no vision for the future. Maybe people should look beyond one year and think 3-5 out. Seems like that’s been the problem for the Griz and fans. Living in the past and it shows. Losing Eli would suck, but it isn’t the end of the world. The program continues and Kennedy just needs to find players.

Unless an added effort to enhance core strength and functional movement, nothing will change physically with the football team. Talking with my strength trainer in town, this is a huge blind spot with the strength staff at um.

So we are supposed to think a former Griz player is to be dismissed versus a cling on old man whose head is up the hind end of every coach? Weird.

From what I understand for this year at-least there will be no additions to the strength staff.
