That isn't what's on the front page of the Chronicle. You had to dig for that.
That's what's on the front web page of the electronic version. Not my choice.

http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Top four on BDC are bozeman shooting, Tsarnaev trial, MSU researcher sun seasons and Smith River endangered.
As I noted, it's under the part entitled "crime and courts." And all of it is on the front page of the today's electronic version. Now, you are trying to argue the "location" on the front page. Are you arguing that the Missoulian layout editor is better or worse than the Chronicle layout editor? Exactly what in the h*** is your point?

Are you actually an adult?
The Missoulian doesn't put its equivalent to the BDC crimes and courts section on its "front page" and a front page isn't the entire scroll down of a newspaper web site. That's each section of the paper. Sports, Entertainment, Local, Features, etc.

Do you ever not twist the facts on any subject? Or are you a lawyer?

Why in God's name are they printing a student newspaper in 2015?

Are there more than a handful of students who don't get the majority of their news electronically on a phone, laptop, tablet or from the TV? Spend the money they do have on being more relevant to the students and their habits, as opposed to supporting dying tech. @ least give the kids who work on the news the chance to get skills they will need when they get to the real world.

And finally, does every F%$king thread on the football board have to degenerate into a pissing contest between AG & Player, a referendum on Royce or... Never mind.

Organizing facts in a logical order or to support a position or argument is not "twisting facts". I have found that most people who refer to "twisting facts" are just admitting that they don't understand the facts and/or just lost their argument.

Maybe you should focus on who is doing the pissing in this thread. Not me, no mention of the guy you refer to. Perhaps you should say: "Does every thread on the board have to result in [certain poster] directing comments at PR?" Do I need to point this out to you every time, or can you figure it out by yourself?

Newspapers and news outlets are a thing of the past? Get real. People want news now and also want thorough, unbiased reporting. There is value in providing professional content. News companies are figuring out how to charge for content and people will pay. The Internet doesn't equal free. There will always be print and people will always buy that too. Nothing like today's paper...

Hope the Kaimin figures it out. That paper is one of the joys of going to UM.

I get it. The electronic version presents differently than the paper version. So, the Bozeman Chronicle articles about the MSU drug users and the guy soliciting a 6 year old for sex are, like, not on the front page of the BC "paper" version even though they are on the front page of the electronic version, and so that means, to you, that Engstrom is not responsible for enrollment declines at UM, but that the copy editor at the Missoulian is.

Got it!

I missed on point 1, but you're perfect on point 2.

"More fall out from the Engstrom-led decline in enrollment."

And on a serious note, am in total agreement, no one should be personally attacked on this forum, unless they root for MSU or impersonate someone caring about EWU. Not much else to figure out.

Blaming RE isn't the answer. In fact he isn't the main problem. Look at the other headlines around the Kaimin story. Lolo flasher had date rape drugs, Missoula County man gets 25 years for raping teen he told he was dying, judge recommends NO jail time for Missoula man who sexually assaulted 5 year old.

What in the actual fvck????

It's raining in Seattle today.

Must be RE's fault.

Seriously people. Their ad revenue dropped by a quarter. If you look at the budget the difference in ad revenue is almost exactly their expected shortfall.

Newspapers are today's Betamax VCRs.

:) amen.....the continued scapegoating, blaming gets old and nowhere. Newspapers in print continue to decline.

Newspaper and cable companies are going to be a part of the past...

Not sure about cable co's,they will be eliminated as far TV content, although will continue as internet providers, however I'm in agreement with printed press and magazines, it a better experience on the internet, and the killing of trees by forestry management could be reduced so more can burn in forest fires, after all the what radical environmentalist would prefer.

I wish I could find a valid stat projecting on how many college students even read a newspaper.

Because this will impact sports coverage for the Griz and it's at least partially related to the decline in enrollment, which is also impacting the athletic budget.

Reduce their coverage of athletics?? I thought you were all about the academics (   ). Shouldn't you be concerned about the lack of coverage of the botany program?

While I am competitive and like winning, I probably care less about UM wins than most Griz fans. I believe strongly in fairness. I believe in education, and believe education at a university is more important than athletics.

It's very sad to hear that the Kaimin is cutting back on publication. I wrote for the Kaimin many years ago, I also had a column. Too bad people like PR, that aren't from Montana, don't realize the value that a paper from a top ten journalism school contributes to the daily life at a great university,
