Just re-watched the game

and 2 things. 1. We have a very good team. 2. We got f4cked on the td catch late in the 4th. That's a td all day long and we go down by 3 with our D totally shutting them down their last 3 possessions. The refs made the right calls on the 2 EWU circus catches but blew it on ours. I love this team. Why we don't run this offense in the hurry up all the time is very strange to me.

Hurry up no huddle gains many plays. The huddle up right before our extra point allowed EWU to figure out we weren't going to kick and they got in the correct defensive alignment. And then to call a run up the gut and gain zero was another (in my opinion) dumb play. A play like that needs to be called at least 10 minutes before and catch the other team off guard. A pass play favored us because it was working. Runs were off, way off and not going anywhere soon.

No that was not a game changing play but an example of coaching error at least in my mind.

You just said it, JJ was brought in here by RP to do exactly that, the hurry up Oregon style offense. And in Robins couple years here is was starting to work, who knows were it would have been by now

Then JJ got into trouble and the current staff stood by him and JJ decided to stay because of that. JJ like the offense he's in now. Just talk to him. He'll be honest that he likes this style just as much as the zone read offense

Grizfrank, good point. And did anybody catch JJ talking about how well they moved the ball and that they need to focus on that and build on it. He was talking about how last year, they were forced into the hurry up no huddle a lot playing from behind. He said it was GOOD to get the offense moving WITHOUT having to go to that today.
