What a season these two have had. Especially over the current 4 game winning streak, these guys have been incredibly clutch. Facing off against some of the most talented WRs they've seen all season on ISU, EWU, MSU, and SDSU's roster these two guys have been on fire! And it helps heading in to this NDSU game that we know these two guys can be put on an island against any NDSU WR and they'll do a damn fine job - leaving more help for the LBs to focus on the NDSU ground game.
Consider their stats over the 4 game streak:
ISU:
Harris - 8 tackles, 1 INT, 1 PBU
Nelson - 4 tackles, 1 INT, 1 TD, flipped the ball to Johnson on the missed FG for the game winner TD
EWU:
Harris - 3 tackles, 1 PBU
Nelson - 5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT, 1 TD, 2 PBUs
MSU:
Harris - 7 tackles, 1 forced fumble
Nelson - 2 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 PBU
SDSU:
Harris - 6 tackles, 1.5 TFLs, 1 PBU
Nelson - 6 tackles, 3 PBUs

Before the season some posters were really down on our corners, but through the season these guys have really shown they're a great pair. This is the best starting combo at corner we've had since Tru and Roots in 2011 (not as good, I'd say, but the next best).
I think these two got over-looked a bit in the all-conference voting as well with Harris getting 3rd team and Nelson getting an honorable mention. But that helped them to play with a chip on their shoulder I'd say and they stepped up big time against SDSU's stud WR this last weekend.
With the safety play not being as consistent as we'd hoped it's great to see how these guys have really risen to the occasion! I'm bummed we're losing Harris to graduation but damned glad Nelson will be back - he could be one of the most elite corners in the Big Sky next year.
