Does anybody know if we are recruiting this kid? I watched him play once last year and was pretty impressed with his athleticism and basketball iq.

That Stanford one would be tough to turn down, considering he is a 4.0 student. Does anybody know if he has been here for a visit though? He would have a bigger effect on a program like Montana that a PAC10 school.

Are any of those guys getting any honest looks by us or anybody else? Always good to see Montana boys getting some attention. Keep up the great work!

I did two post I believe in March about possible D-1 basketball prospects in Montana. The first post

was about kids who I have heard were getting D-1 looks. Some of the prospects were getting more serious looks than the others. They were:
Josh Huestis who recruitment has exploded and is one of the most recruited Montana prospects in a long time.
Matt Miller who will not play basketball (Bowl division football is in his future, but yet many feel that if he was to give up football for basketball he could be a mid major type prospect in basketball. He hold offers from Huse and Tinkle, though.
Blake Brumwell who was offered and committed to the Bobcats to play basketball.
Corbin Pearson was the fourth and his stock has dropped a little but is still being monitored by a couple D-1 schools. Think former Bobcat Danny Sullivan.
The second part of my look at the junior class

I featured 6-7 Jacob Owsley of Bozeman and 6-5 Joe Stulc Winifred. These players were/are not being recruited by any D-1 teams that i was aware of, but I wanted to look at a couple players who may be late bloomers, and worthy of keeping an eye next year. Odds are against them getting recruited by D-1 teams but I like their potential for one reason or another, and it is possible one of them could become this year's Jack McGillis.

Since I have written those post another kid has jumped onto the radar and that is Jordan Overstreet of Three Forks. Jordan is a 6-2 combo guard who has improved is point guards skills enough that I am hearing that both Montana Schools are watching him. I do not know a whole lot about Overstreet but I hear, he most likely falls somewhere the two groups listed, but with a good senior year could really improve his stock.

The only other school showing interest at that time was Santa Clara. Now it looks like that if either Montana State and Montana signed him it would be a major coup. He is being recruited by some heavy weight apathetically (although no elite schools yet) and academically. He already has official visits set up for USC and Harvard with a ton of other schools very interested. I beleive he just took an official visit to Gonzaga although I do not beleive they have offered. I would consider Gonzaga a favorite IF they offer.
