Over zealous police that need to be sued. Unfortunately it lead to a lot of UM's problems. RE sucked at dealing with this properly, but that is another story.
as for harper i've seen nor heard nothing about his being involved in a marijuana charge. never heard anything about a failed drug test either.
Next Day??? Nothing happened until conveniently AFTER the playoffs. BTW the police don't make "charges" We are still waiting for the huge fee contingent law suit Miltys team is bringing . The reason according to PR they took the case at reduced fees when Jim Foley marched them in the next day. Something he did for every student in trouble as did milts firm (another part of the "problems" If only that suit had happened the NCAA would have lefty town empty handed. But alas it did not.
Yes, a nolo to disorderly conduct (loud party) is a huge crime, isn't it? Don't think some of the local firms who looked at the case wanted to take on the city over the matter, but don't know. The lawyer who represented the players was referred/introduced by a UM, not Foley or any senior person in the athletic department. Milt D. did not represent the players. Paul Ryan and other local lawyers have represented more UM athletes than the Datsap firm.
