Hope not. We can count him out for the season then and no guarantee when he comes back he will be as good. Doesn't seem to match though.
torn Meniscus is usually two weeks complete immobilization for minor tears, if surgery required it is two weeks complete immobilization plus two weeks more of limited mobility and several months before he could begin running on it again. Often times it can take even more time before he would be able to plant and cut like he does, or it may never heal fully.
If he had just had surgery don't think he would be walking on it.
I have had meniscus tears, on both knees, in which the torn part of the meniscus was taken out/scoped. I walked out of both surgeries, did not use crutches, and was not immobilized. After the second one, when I was in my 40's, the skied on days 8, 9 and 10, and skied the bumps on day 10. I was back running and playing noon ball very quickly. I can't imagine it would take longer than 3 weeks to get back on the field, unless there is a special problem. Look at Peevey this year.
