Jesse Ginn leaves the team

I am not sure what happened for Jesse, his family, or team. I do know when we were coaching him in baseball, football was his passion and life. Basketball and baseball were something he did to fill a void that was it. I remember how committed he was to football even during the summer. I am sure whatever the reason, It is a damn good reason. For the record, I hope the option is left open to returning as a GRIZ. I think Jesse and his family need to know, whatever the reason, GRIZ NATION supports them. I do hope we know more details soon.

I think he got sideways with this staff with his involvement in the Licciardi fiasco. A bit undisciplined, but still a shame to see him move on.

Pendelton makes a good whiskey <<< This is true

Regarding this thread I heard he was transferring to Corvallis for the mac and cheese....oh wait.
Pendleton is an example of a marketing scam. It's cheap canadian whiskey shipped to Oregon. It's stored in a wood barrel for a short time and has a little vanilla added. However if it floats your boat, more power to you. I'm a big fan of Makers like many on this board. Cheers !! :thumb:

It floats my boat, on the rocks. JD just seems to bite anymore, must be getting old. I'm aware of where it comes from. Everyone has different tastes. It's just sweet enough for me to be smooth but not too syrupy like Yukon Jack. I like it better than Crown If it was cheap I'd still buy it. You don't even want to know what beer I prefer (Hint, it's because I like it and know exactly what it will do, not because it's cheap, although it is) Bombay Sapphire is the only gin I'll drink in any form. Anyone tried any (gin) from Montgomery Distillery? Stopped in for a tasting and all they had was Vodka at the time, which just seemed like vodka to me.

As a long time Makers Mark drinker, I am also concerned. Wasn't there some kind of shortage last year too? MM even thought about "cheapening" the product to keep costs down. For the adventurous, try Red Breast Irish Whiskey. It's single pot stilled. There is a 12yr, 15yr and some kind of cast version which is a little strong for my taste. It's nothing like Jameson. Very "bourbon" like in taste. Maybe $60 at BevMo.

Hrmmmm. I was already preparing my reply as soon as I read "Irish Whiskey" and then I came to the part of your post that said "nothing like Jameson" and "bourbon like taste." Gonna have to try it. Makers Mark I have always liked but not quite as much as ol Pappy Van Winkles family stash as I call it. (Its for special occasions)

Although I cut my teeth on Beam and JD and Walkers, the best whiskey on the market now is Jameson!

The best whiskey for YOU that is. I have put forth my best foot in the past trying to acquire a taste for that stuff. I just can't do it, then again, I am a Pollock.

Maybe we should start a thread about whiskeys, drinking, alcohol, etc and somehow that will turn into a worthwhile thread about Jesse Ginn. How on God's Earth did this thread go where it has? I know, that is EGRIZ for you.

Neversweat whiskey distilled in Butte is as good if not a little better than Jim Beam.IMO.

Headframe Spirits has really good stuff. :thumb:

Sorry, Ginn. Subliminal and not intended.

This. The 15 year old Red Breast goes for about $84 at Grizzly Liquor. Very oily and complex. Many people prefer the 12 year old. Whatever. I love good Irish whiskey. And I've never had any Irish whiskey that wasn't good. Tullamore Dew, Jameson, Bushmill's...all perfectly fine.

The title could be "Ginn and Tonic"

You ARE welcome

Im surprised you can't connect the dots here. Its George Thorogood's fault. He played at the UC in the 80's, going on and on and on about mixing his alcohol.

Red Breast is incredible. Superior to Makers Mark. I haven't been able to find it in Butte since I moved from Missoula.

I merely want to point out that I talked about "Irish whiskey," not "whiskey" or "drinking." You're welcome.

:)
