For the adventurous, try Red Breast Irish Whiskey. It's single pot stilled. There is a 12yr, 15yr and some kind of cast version which is a little strong for my taste. It's nothing like Jameson. Very "bourbon" like in taste. Maybe $60 at BevMo.

This. The 15 year old Red Breast goes for about $84 at Grizzly Liquor. Very oily and complex. Many people prefer the 12 year old. Whatever. I love good Irish whiskey. And I've never had any Irish whiskey that wasn't good. Tullamore Dew, Jameson, Bushmill's...all perfectly fine.

Red Breast is incredible. Superior to Makers Mark. I haven't been able to find it in Butte since I moved from Missoula.

Butte tap water of old was superior to any whiskey. It was free, and taste came with it. Think I heard they upgraded the water system....thats too bad.

Maybe we should start a thread about whiskeys, drinking, alcohol, etc and somehow that will turn into a worthwhile thread about Jesse Ginn. How on God's Earth did this thread go where it has? I know, that is EGRIZ for you.

Stop trying to detail this thread.

Back on point, Jesse Ginn, this buds for you!

Please provide further clarification regarding "buds". We would hate for people to get the wrong idea

For some strange reason, after I hit send, I had the feeling someone wouldn't remember the old Budwieser Beer commercials and this is what would be asked...

Oh I remember them, they were inspiration for Neil Young's song "This note's for you"

I agree, GTFO with your details! This is eGriz, leave your details at the door! Details have no place here!

Although I should probably get my rig detailed after hunting season...

Im surprised you can't connect the dots here. Its George Thorogood's fault. He played at the UC in the 80's, going on and on and on about mixing his alcohol.
One Bourbon, one Scotch, one beer.

I drink alone - with nobody else.....

Pendelton makes a good whiskey <<< This is true

Regarding this thread I heard he was transferring to Corvallis for the mac and cheese....oh wait.
Pendleton is an example of a marketing scam. It's cheap canadian whiskey shipped to Oregon. It's stored in a wood barrel for a short time and has a little vanilla added. However if it floats your boat, more power to you. I'm a big fan of Makers like many on this board. Cheers !! :thumb:

Neversweat whiskey distilled in Butte is as good if not a little better than Jim Beam.IMO.

Headframe Spirits has really good stuff. :thumb:
I've heard a lot about Headframe and it is ALL good...the next time I pull into Butte it's #1 on my radar screen... :D :egriz:

All of their drinks are fantastic, but the "Red Hot Russian" is my favorite. Too bad there is a 3oz limit. If you want more "the Post" martini bar also serves their liquor and several of their drinks.

Edit: I should mention that the post has a dress code (button up shirt at a minimum).

First of all, if its called a "martini bar" I won't even consider going to it. #2 if it has a dress code I'm out again. Construction trash in dirty carhardts is who I am. Guess I'll go to Maloneys and slum with the other trash!!! :thumb:

Since we are on the subject of Jesse Ginn check out this video (Guys buddies plumb his house with beer) Wish I had friends like this. I sure the hell would have no reason to climb under the house to see what's the matter. When good things happen, I look not for answers.
