Imagine getting a job at the most coveted company in the State of Montana and having that job questioned on the front page of every paper in the State because you supposedly can't control your employees. Then also imagine on top of that a petition is started to get the offer taken away, also because you can't control your personnel and you run a loose ship. Within months some of your staff is criminally charged. I would suspect any grown up would handle this the same way and has to set an example no matter how good of an employee he or she was. Particularly if it was a veteran of your company that some of the newer employees looked up to you don't want them thinking this is acceptable. My guess is in the business world those employees that got in trouble were fired.
In this case he got a suspension, was able to come back and by the end of his season had earned the majority of the carries in his final two games. But instead of being happy about that he decided he was going to demand more from the coach and dictate how he wanted his scholarship to be used. The coach decided he wanted and needed him this year and by golly he was right. Most likely this team and all his teammates are in the playoffs if he wanted to play the final games. Anyone that claims they would have handled this any differently than Bobby is kidding themselves.
My thoughts exactly! Jeremy was selfish and let his teammates down. They needed him in that game and he put his wants ahead of the team. I just hope his brother sticks around to play corner for us next year
Interesting that you are not the first to say you hope his brother sticks around...While he may be our best option at one of our weaker positions, I saw him come up short big time when we needed a stop on two separate occasions on Saturday. The 2nd time was on the drive after the Semenza FG where the cats ended up scoring to make it 25-22. I believe he had coverage on all three of Jonsen's catches on that drive, for sure on the last one for 45 yards that he wasn't even in the same zip code. Would have been an easy walk in TD for Jonsen had Anderson not under thrown him by 15 yards and had to wait for it. They scored 2 plays later-Scoring drive-1 min, 35 secs. Very similar to the drive before half when the cats scored when he had 3 catches as well. Where was the coverage???
Jonsen's stats for the year prior to Saturday-14 catches/134 total yards....Saturday's stats-11 catches/101 yards....
Point being, I saw Justin in 1 on 1 coverage on Jonsen on almost every play they were both in.. While you may hope he is back next year, I am just hoping his mind was on the task at hand this past Saturday, and not thinking how he screwed up his brother's last year with the Griz.
I wondered how he got beat on that play......now I know....."thinking about how he screwed up his brother's last year with the Griz". Really??
Watched game replay. First long pass in late drive he covered well. Cats run back and run a same play fast with a different non-winded receiver who gets by him.
Andersen's passing and Jonsen's catching were pretty decent in that game!
