Jeremy Calhoun - isn't it ironic

Probably ...

Imagine getting a job at the most coveted company in the State of Montana and having that job questioned on the front page of every paper in the State because you supposedly can't control your employees. Then also imagine on top of that a petition is started to get the offer taken away, also because you can't control your personnel and you run a loose ship. Within months some of your staff is criminally charged. I would suspect any grown up would handle this the same way and has to set an example no matter how good of an employee he or she was. Particularly if it was a veteran of your company that some of the newer employees looked up to you don't want them thinking this is acceptable. My guess is in the business world those employees that got in trouble were fired.

In this case he got a suspension, was able to come back and by the end of his season had earned the majority of the carries in his final two games. But instead of being happy about that he decided he was going to demand more from the coach and dictate how he wanted his scholarship to be used. The coach decided he wanted and needed him this year and by golly he was right. Most likely this team and all his teammates are in the playoffs if he wanted to play the final games. Anyone that claims they would have handled this any differently than Bobby is kidding themselves.

My thoughts exactly! Jeremy was selfish and let his teammates down. They needed him in that game and he put his wants ahead of the team. I just hope his brother sticks around to play corner for us next year

Interesting that you are not the first to say you hope his brother sticks around...While he may be our best option at one of our weaker positions, I saw him come up short big time when we needed a stop on two separate occasions on Saturday. The 2nd time was on the drive after the Semenza FG where the cats ended up scoring to make it 25-22. I believe he had coverage on all three of Jonsen's catches on that drive, for sure on the last one for 45 yards that he wasn't even in the same zip code. Would have been an easy walk in TD for Jonsen had Anderson not under thrown him by 15 yards and had to wait for it. They scored 2 plays later-Scoring drive-1 min, 35 secs. Very similar to the drive before half when the cats scored when he had 3 catches as well. Where was the coverage???
Jonsen's stats for the year prior to Saturday-14 catches/134 total yards....Saturday's stats-11 catches/101 yards....
Point being, I saw Justin in 1 on 1 coverage on Jonsen on almost every play they were both in.. While you may hope he is back next year, I am just hoping his mind was on the task at hand this past Saturday, and not thinking how he screwed up his brother's last year with the Griz.

I wondered how he got beat on that play......now I know....."thinking about how he screwed up his brother's last year with the Griz". Really??

Watched game replay. First long pass in late drive he covered well. Cats run back and run a same play fast with a different non-winded receiver who gets by him.

Andersen's passing and Jonsen's catching were pretty decent in that game!

tbh, he got away with PI on the first one.

Really??? Now that is funny...What game were you watching???. Jonsen had at least 4 drops in the first half alone... 45 of their 158 total passing yards were on 1 play, with a guy so wide open I am sure even Coach Sacks could have made that pass or catch...If those total passing stats have been put up by any Griz QB in the last 10 years, please enlighten me...Mediocre at best..

Pretty sure JC would get hurt running into a brick wall, hes pretty soft and gets injured often.

Does anyone believe that JC had the courage to apologize to his teammates for quitting on them and ultimately losing this game because of his decision to quit?

Me either

Thanks Steve! :thumb:

Eric G from Missoula, not Steve you have me confused with another person

Sorry, I had you confused with a piece of shit, mentally ill, racist, former flunky club baseball player with hemmoroids named Steve Dill. A real tool.

I’m fairly certain we’ve not been able to confirm the club baseball affiliation - the pickle is a worlds class liar & fraud. Geez - what kind of asshat do you have to be to get yourself kicked off MB with all those qualifications?

Yeah, he's a real lowlife son of a bitch. He's got a bunch of imaginary friends and lies about his accomplishments. Get this, he was an unpaid assistant coach at some jr. High in Ohio for a year and brags about his football knowledge. I'm not shitting you, Eric G. Then he threatens people with an imaginary brother-in-law in the mafia and an imaginary ex-vietnam war era sniper buddy. He pretty much gets owned by anyone on these football boards. This guy is the pinnacle of a low life asshole.

If you ever meet him, Eric G., just walk away and whatever you do, DON'T SHAKE HIS HAND!!

That's not important right now, Eric. What's important is that you keep your eyes peeled for that bastard. He live in Missoula part of the year and the rest in a yurt in the shitty part of Yuma (is that redundant?). He claims to go to the Mo Club a lot. Unless you want to run the risk of running into that lying shitbird, I would stop going to the Mo Club, Eric. Seriously, you want nothing to do with that scumbag. He's a vile, fat, no- good bigot.

Ha ha ha, well I don't get to the Mo club often since I moved to Cali for work. Been years since I have been home

My good friends son, Ryan, just started working at the mo club this semester. Does this Steve guy really hang out there? And how do I warn Ryan about him? Is he as obnoxious in person as he is on egriz and mb? Thanks asking for my good friends son. Lol thanks.

Sweet love of all that is holy...I am laughing so hard at this exchange my 8 year old is wondering what’s wrong with me

If Hauck hadn't screwed Calhoun over from the beginning there wouldn't have been talk of a redshirt year. Sure he sat out the first two games, but how much playing time did he get from Game 3 and on? Only one of those games was he injured and wasn't able to go. The rest of them, he should have been our starter and had the bulk of the carries. Sorry, this is on Hauck.

How did Hauck screw JC over? The big thing that everyone forgets is that the fight settlement plea deal was not finalized until 5:30 pm on September 12th which was the Wednesday afternoon / early evening before the team traveled to Western Illinois. So it makes sense that Hauck was not counting on him for the WIU game which was the 3rd game of the season.

And let's also not forget that JC, after the fight in May got a disorderly conduct charge in June, 5 weeks after the fight.

Quite frankly it was a miracle that he was even on the team at that point.

And then he decides he does not want to play the last two games so he can redshirt when he is not injured and the coaching staff was counting on him? Yeah, Bobby really screwed him over. That's rich.

I agree Hauck did the right thing. Winning at any cost with bad people is not the approach that should be taken given the sordid history under engstrom

That's a good move Eric G! Steve is deathly afraid of California. He's a homophobic too and worried about catching "the gay" if he goes there. I know, what a complete fucking douche bag, huh, Eric G? The guy is such a loser. He was some sort of failed, shyster pharmaceutical salesman until it all collapsed on him--probably Chapter 11. Now he just goes from football board to football board annoying people with his lies and pomposity, until he gets band ( again). It is all kind of sad really, Eric G. But he is such an over the top ruthless bastard that it's hard to have any sympathy for his rotten, oily hide.

I don't know if you're a religious man, Eric G., but if so you should thank heaven you don't know that despicable, fetid, bombastic, lying, clown, fuckwad.

Boy does that bring back memories. I’ll bet you haven’t even uttered the word fetid since that last summer @ Cambridge when you discovered cod pieces as fashion items.
