JD Quinn - Passed Away

Haven’t seen it posted yet but unfortunately JD Quinn passed away this week. Sounds like liver disease. He had been pretty sick the last year or so. RIP to the true definition of DOLA.

Posted this a couple years ago, but my favorite memory of JD was when the Griz played at JMU in 2008. Some JMU guy is simply standing close to a down Bergquist, so JD comes in and shoves the guy. Then, right before the huddle, you can see JD giving the guy the finger all nonchalant like, as if he was scratching his head.

That's sad. I liked JD. I didn't know him well, just brief interactions on the field after games and short conversations here and there when I would run into him around town.

I am a childhood friend of Abby, JD’s younger sister, i briefly knew him throughout our highschool and college years. If anyone has any pictures, stories or even videos about your favorite memories of the hoss JD, feel free to send them to me 214-930-7456. There is a memorial for him in Garland, Texas this coming Sunday(6/7) and i will be sure to get all of this over to his family. I know it would truly mean a lot to them!
