In several cases yes, and he very well could have done it with the worst OL in the BSC.

Easily the worst, I’d say.grizindabox said:indian-outlaw said:He performed to the level of the athletes he had. Do you think we had lesser athletes than the teams we played?

How do you think we stack up as far as our WR, LB, DL or QB? how about depth or athletes top to bottom? I think we were about right at a 6-5 record if you don't over or under perform. I don't remember a lot of complaints about the quality of athletes Stitt brought in here. I just remember hearing how we out recruited the cats every year. Now all of a sudden Hauck comes back and we have no athletes. How could Hauck be expected to win with all theses losers on the roster? I am not defending Stitt at all, just saying I don't remember people saying we had crappy athletes coming down the pike.uofmman1122 said:Easily the worst, I’d say.grizindabox said:indian-outlaw said:He performed to the level of the athletes he had. I am aware of that. My point is that we had athletes this year. They did not exactly fit Coach Hauck's system, there were certainly some holes like OL but we had some players. I do think Hauck did a fine job this year with the players he had, after bringing in a whole new staff and system. I do believe that Hauck will do well given time. He has proven that he is a really good recruiter which amazes me because of the way he treats some of his players. I am only saying that recruiting is hit or miss and with the parity of the BSC the last 5 years don't expect him to have us dominating everyone in year two or three. We dominated teams in Haucks first tour because we had dominant athletes. He's not Mike Leach or even Mike Price, he's more like Mike Kramer, he's not going to outsmart anyone.grizindabox said:indian-outlaw said:How do you think we stack up as far as our WR, LB, DL or QB? how about depth or athletes top to bottom? Dude, it is egriz. The super majority of posters are always going to say that every year.

Yeah you're pretty sure... but you have no freaking clue or any facts to back that up. But hey, let's take his word because he's "pretty sure". Come on dude.
Truth is you're wrong. EWU just recruits better and coaches up better. As evident by our dominance in the Big Sky and the FCS and the talent those coaches are putting in the NFL and CFL.
If you want to think EWU is "cheating" somehow because that makes all the Ls you've taken sit a little easier with you. Then by all means, keep dreaming pal.

Yes... .my point being it can happen now and doesn't necessarily have to be a signing date thinggrizindabox said:Ursus1 said:MSU just announced they got a dropdown LB from UW.
And if just you mean yesterday, you would be correct.
