Meaning that both Cooper Sprunk (6'4" 250 lbs) and Mike Ralston (6'6" 245 lbs), both redshirt freshmen, are considered adequate back-up TEs to Mitch Saylor? Perhaps. If for anything I hope they can block well.

I am very excited about both those guys. REALLY looking forward to watching them play.

I'd heard some good things about Thiebes at tackle, he impressed the coaches and some players too. He's too light right now but showed good foot work and potential.

He played tackle at Glacier but moved to TE at Lewis and Clark cus he was so light. He must have some athletic ability to try it although he didn't catch any passes(if he even had any thrown at him), he did have 2 special teams tackles. I'm guessing they think Gerber can beef him up some. He's got a good frame for it.

Great kid, Very hard worker. I bet he has a red shirt year left. I saw him play many times and he does not make mistakes.

A project... but a good bet!

Smart player...catching up athletically with size/strength talent that were evident in in high school...tight end or tackle potential could be interesting development.

Thiebes graduated from Glacier High School May/June 2012, in the same graduating class as Luke Halliburton, of whom went on to the MSU Bobcats. Thiebes spent 2012 season with the Lewis & Clark College while Halliburton was #98, a true freshman DL for the Bobcats in 2012. In 2013 Thiebes may have been a walk-on for the Griz; consequently I'm thinking 2013 was already a redshirt year for Thiebes so he'll probably be in a redshirt sophomore status eligibility-wise for the Griz for the 2014 (next) season.
