I like the idea of 8 teams. All power 5 champs get in and it leaves 3 at large for independents and some awesome group of 5 champs.

Six or eight would be nice from a fans perspective. The Group of 5 teams will get the bottom seeds and the Alabamas will kick the holy shit out of them year after year though. No matter what they do people are going to piss, bitch, moan and howl about the playoff tournaments. Like me with that farce they call the NCAA basketball tournament.

What I don't like about an expanded football playoff is you'll see a shitty team like Oklahoma lose their first two games of the year get their shit together and win it all. It'll ruin the value of the regular season.
Like FCS?

That game reminded me of a game in Chattanooga when UMASS beat Georgia Southern on a real shitty day and the turf in Finley Stadium was really poor. Brute force won that game. Of course, GSU won the next two years on the same field but better conditions. I enjoyed the game and I'm personally impressed with the linemen on both teams. Damn! To beat NDSU, JMU and SDSU in the playoffs is impressive.

Well, great. Now I'm thinking about the NC game in 2004 against JMU. Chicken wire. LV dropping one in the end zone (or called back, can't really remember). I've done a great job blocking it out through years of therapy and exercise, but now it's all back. I guess I'm going to doordash In-N-Out and go to bed. Try this whole thing again tomorrow.
It was Talmadge that had the bad drop in the EZ. LV returned one to the house, called back that he stepped out when the replay showed he didn't. That would have been an insurmountable lead for which JMU could not have just pounded the ball in second half. Them putting the ball in the air leads to a dominating Montana win.

Yep. Power 5 and the major bowls. Wannabe conferences and the Outback Bowls. Small college football and their playoffs. Pretty much just like it is now.

Ugh. Now, I remember. Many thanks.

Assume you are talking about the Canadian Army and Navy teams...there is not a single FCS team that could beat West Point or the USNA FBS teams. Not one.
Beg to differ with you there solider. I think ndsu with trey lance would have beat both army, navy or airforce the last year lance played. Which was 2019. Lol

No.

In the 2004 game I think it was Jefferson Heidelberger rather than LV with the TD that wasn’t.

That could well be; those two guys had such similar games.
