IVYs looking to ban tackling in practice.

Some of us Non-Ivys have made many times those numbers prior to mid-career. Take Umista.... Please.

You do understand what an average is, right? I believe that this mid-career study is defined as 10 years out of college, so essentially average salary at age 32. Some of my Dartmouth friends, an even a teammate or two, become billionaires eventually, so they beat the average too.

What do you think UM's 10-year out average salary is?

Give or take a dollar or two, and depending upon who you believe, approximately $70K. I made a handsome living in my professional career understanding mean, median, mode and yes, what average is. And mid-career salary discussions are an unfortunate byproduct of the fact that most professionals are @ the crest of hill @ age 40.

You and I both know college friends who are ultimate 1%R's and unfortunates who failed miserably @ everything they've done. Didn't matter where they went to school. What mattered was them.

Two of my Stanford friends made tons of money. One was the CEO of Intell the other was a nuclear scientest and both are super people. Both have attended Griz games with me. Both are smart, love football and like to help others (less fortunate) and of course look down at IVYs.

Like Bigdog mentioned it is all about the person and NOT the school one attended.

Only those are MEDIAN salaries, not AVERAGE salaries on the list you posted.

Yes, I know, but I've learned over the years that a lot of people on egriz don't seem to know what the mean means, so it's less confusing to them to just saw average. Ha.

So your buddies, I assume one is Craig Barrett, look down on people. Interesting people you hang around with.

I went to both Ivy and Stanford, so I'm covered. Ha.

Who do you think are the richest UM grads, excluding Phyllis Washington? And how much have they made? This question is for anyone.

Thanks to the posters who provided some info on UM salaries.

Player, looking down on IVYs is from a fun sort of way. Same as any school mate looking down on other schools.
Both Stanford grads are beyond great humans and do help many others. They would not appreciate my joking comment about looking down an any one or thing. Glad to see you made both IVY and Stanford.

The point I should have made was more about the person and NOT about the school. Now if I can get one of my over educated kids to fix my spell check on this old apple I will be singing along with the bigdogs etc.

Funny thing is this will help recruit the brightest to the IVY league even more (like they needed more help with that)

Got it. I understand.

Now, who are UM's richest alums? I didn't go to UM, so I don't have the knowledge base that many of you have.

I know these guys who went to college and became dicks. I also know some guys who were dicks and dropped out of college. A few other guys went to college and were super nice people.

U,U,U... Recycle the old apple. Get the big iPad, pen & keyboard. A boatload of fun, and you can use Siri to dictate your missives to. You can even get it to do karaoke with you, speaking of singing. Don't even need my glasses to read it, and you know how old & decrepit I am.

BGtineydog, I am well known amongst my over educated children (and wife) to be thrifty (cheap) and as such I am pounding away on my apple lap top (a hand me down from one of my kids). Only my close assistants ever knew just how illiterate I am/was. Hence, I have been able to sneak through life with many of my collegues not aware of my short commings or if they did they never let on.

Now I am flogging away on E-griz and my dinosaur ways are exposed just because of my love of Griz football and I have time to go outside and play.

With the US dollar VS Canadian dollar ($0.74 gets you a full Canada dollar) this is a good time to visit and buy things. Ocean front, ranch property, houses, U name it.

I just hate the thought you're depriving yourself an upgrade. But I can admire thrifty, a word you'll never see my picture next to in the dictionary. And thank you very large for the travel recommendation, I think you just solved my argument with the woman to whom I'm related to by marriage. It's been about thirty years since I was in Alberta & or BC. But I think she'll like the favorable shopping rates.
