It's NOT Happenin

Remind me, what happened last time an FBS team was willing to schedule us? And was that a Power 5 or G5 team?

And we are having a hard time being competitive in the FCS.... but we just made it to the national title game, and are regularly wining playoff games over the last 6 years. I'm not sure you know what "competitive" means.
You really need to climb out of your shell. You know what the past record is the last few years so why do you fabricate it to look good. It's not that great. Plus look at the OVERALL competition we are playing. It is nothing like the level we used to play and win at.

I think the reality is that FCS goes away. I see the FCS money games disappearing and along with it FCS football programs either dropping the sport or moving to D2. There won't be the athletic department cash flow to maintain current FCS scholarship levels.
The P2 aren’t setting up to leave the NCAA, they just want everyone else to “accept their fate” and might occasionally use a threat of a new organization towards those ends. The P2 would be making too much of a March Madness mistake otherwise.

The G6 will not find a good monetized playoff system causing an actual separation from the rest of FBS (it’s being talked about, but until a streamer is on solid financial footing, don’t hold your breath). The P2 will want to see the number of mouths they believe they feed reduced, and not necessarily schools that just went up. But to get too aggressive with that causes an anti-trust lawsuit. The NCAA is a bit punch drunk from all the lawsuits. Probably can’t afford to really try a more comprehensive reorganization.

But any cataclysm that might happen will only happen when fans least expect it. Too soon now. Nothing happens for at least a decade… if ESPN and Fox coordinate the ends of contracts at a similar time for the ACC, the bigs, and the SEC, then we’ll want to watch.

What if option one for MW was targeting two big market FBS teams for expansion? In light of those teams declining…

Option two MW only needed one team and only offered UM. NOT MSdUi. Not NDSU. Not SDSU.

Gee. Wonder why that is?

Man, you are really moving the goalposts here. You originally said that we cannot field enough quality players to compete with FBS teams, and that we are having a hard time even being competitive in the FCS. Those were both really ignorant statements, and I noticed you didn't even address my response. What happened the last time that an FBS team scheduled the Griz? And that was a P5 team, right? So recent evidence would suggest we can compete with FBS teams.

As for your claim that our past record is bad for the last few years, we won the big sky and went to the national championship. We have been a playoff team and winning playoff games. I'm not sure what shell you think I am in, but facts are pretty simple here. Our records for the last 3 years is 10-3, 8-5, 13-2. And, again, finished last season by winning the conference for the first time in a long while. Things have been on the right track. I'm sorry that facts give you big, angry feelings. You should work on that.

And won 10 games 4 years ago.
