After weeks of debate it is becoming more clear everyday that Montana Grizzlies are not moving up.MW added UTEP and now is talking to Hawaii about full status.MW has paid off UNLV and Air Force to stay put. NDS & SDS say they are not going anywhere. So it's time to begin the It's Not Happenin thread.

The Griz played 8 ranked teams last season. Would it be possible for some of you to make your points with the facts and the truth? Or, do you just have to make up stupid stuff to make your points?
To reinforce the point: "8 ranked FCS" teams. Aside from the dribble of FCS teams moving up into chaos, the (sub)division still has a viable place in the college football landscape.

Yes, let's move up so we can win the potato bowl trophy.... There are over 100 teams in the FCS and several more division II teams looking to move up to FSC level. I hope we stay where we are. I hope they fix the issue with all the teams in the Big Sky. I hope the top 25 teams in FCS stay FCS to keep the competition competitive.

With the curent personel/players/coaches we are not competitive unless we stay where we are. There are not enough quality players to field the current teams to compete at FBS.We have a a hard time finding them to be competitive in the FCS least all trying to find them for FBS which would not even make us as competive as New Mexico or Wyoming

This is total bupkis.

I think the reality is that FCS goes away. I see the FCS money games disappearing and along with it FCS football programs either dropping the sport or moving to D2. There won't be the athletic department cash flow to maintain current FCS scholarship levels.

Remind me, what happened last time an FBS team was willing to schedule us? And was that a Power 5 or G5 team?

And we are having a hard time being competitive in the FCS.... but we just made it to the national title game, and are regularly wining playoff games over the last 6 years. I'm not sure you know what "competitive" means.

Where did NDSU and SDSU say they’re not going anywhere? I don’t see anything

So if that happens, what do the Griz do?
