Whew...I just finished reading the comments. Not too shocked by anything. I'll make a few comments and move on to Davis. I have NOT brought up a single stat in my comments. I agree with many of you... stats are bullsh!t. There are a few pros here who pick out the # that fits their agenda and they run with it. Currently,.. ANY stat comments are AMPLIFIED with DII games...PSU at least 2...so I'll wipe after I hit submit. Take my fandom elsewhere??? F.U. I added 2 more season tix this year. I made no mention of any athlete's name. Attention whore...? I've started very few threads. EWU is coming in soon...with conviction I can say the team who tackles will win the game. All the way back to when that p...k zornes ran the prison... I'd love to leave zootown with a big smile after we roast their asses. :egriz:
Is this Corey Stapleton or some other politician that wants to remain behind a screen name, because you deflected all of the information differing from your view as statistical garbage. Yet the point wasn't that because a past team won the NC while lagging in defense ergo this team would win a NC but rather your post is reactionary. Also you actually referred to a player as a pu$&y in another of your oh so informative posts. Saying a team that tackles wins games is akin to saying the team that scores more touchdowns wins games.
Face it, your a fan with limited real football knowledge who likes to point out the deficits to rationalize your complaints of this team and justify it by say it is "reality". When in fact the majority on this board acknowledge that the defense has been a bit underwhelming especially considering hype but there are factors beyond that explain part of the issue. You talk of winning as it is your RIGHT as a fan that the Griz win all games, play mistake free football and satisfy you by filling whatever void in your life has compelled you to become so disgruntled that your willing to call a kid that represents the University of Montana a pu$&y.
I will defend all day long your right to free speech, but don't expect many, if any to defend your point of view. So you bought two more season tickets, BFD, somebody would have gotten them if you hadn't. Do you want to be a fan and help the University? Donate to the GSA. Oh yeah and before you even think it I'm a former player, Lifetime member of the Alumni Association, have had season tickets for over 20 years, and donate at the President's Club level and have served on the state GSA Board. So in other words I have no more voice then you, just that I have put my money where my mouth is.
I am not overly pleased with many aspects of the current Griz performance, but I just go about trying to bring them up rather the tearing them down. I never got to play in front of 26,000 at a home game but I'll freely admit that my first time out in front of 13500, I just about peed myself out of fear of making a mistake and the game was already in the bag. The vast majority of kids out there aren't on full rides, put in way more then the NCAA allowed time on there own, care more then you would believe and play for each other first, their University second. But to the man, all of them are mindful of what is expected of them. THAT is the reality!
