ISU vs Scats

Are you watching the game? ISU just threw a long pass and several short ones to score a touchdown. MSU’s defense is decent, but they are at home. ISU’s offense won’t be the problem. Their defense looks terrible today. ISU just played the Griz last week and look asleep on defense.
I am watching the game. ISUs defense looks every bit as bad as it did last week. But their offense has been much less effective. We’ll see if that can keep that going, but it’s much tougher sledding for them than it was last week

We had Wing out for the entire first half. It made a difference based on the results of the second half. I am also not sold on MSU’s secondary being exceptional. I just don’t see it. I do see MSU’s offensive line dominating

Like I have said all week, Cooke doesn't play anywhere near as well against zone.

Watch their DLine. That’s where they’re dominant. Cooke has been under pressure almost every dropback save one or two
Yet, the score is within 6 points and MSU’s defense just got torched. Not sure that MSU’s vaunted defense is as good as you are giving them credit for. ISU just made adjustments and this game could end up being a shootout. I have zero faith ISU can stop them. MSU is lucky ISU had a slow start.

It’s The pregame angst that’s got me angry posting 😆. And you could be right. I still prefer the 4-2-5. I’m gonna die on that hill. Watched the 3-3-5 get torched so many times now. The one guy who seemed to have it dialed in is now in Miami.

The Cats dominated them today. Their defense pressured Cooke and the offense sliced and diced them. Lampson is an excellent QB. The Cats are improving every week. Their young DB’s are coming along nicely. Now that they settled on a set OL, they are looking much better.

The conference will be decided on Cat/Griz. That may be one heck of a game this year with the Griz having a very good team too and having the home field.

It’s Griz/Cat. We can agree the conference should be decided based on the results of that game. Both teams should be in the top 5 if they win out.

I agree. It will be a good rivalry game this year. Despite how much shit I talked about our defense, they switched some things up in the coverage and played a bit more of a mix of zone and man, and they absolutely dominated cal poly defensively. They gave up just one first down in the second half, scored a touchdown, forced three turnovers, pressured the QB most of the game, stifled the run, and pitched a shutout in the second half. Only giving up 9 points is a hell of a response to a dismal defensive performance the week before, (although the second half was much better than the first at ISU). Offensively, the Griz got going in the second half, but won’t be able to sleepwalk through an entire half vs the cats.
