ISU vs Scats

I didn’t watch the cat game yesterday but it looks like ISU went toe to toe with them early as it was 20-14 early in the second quarter. Good to see them come out with some juice. Cooke’s numbers don’t look too bad as he was 20/37 for 307 yards 2 TD 1 INT. Just like when we played them, they couldn’t run the ball at all. They only had 36 yards on the ground.

If ISU wants to take the next step, then they have to have some semblance of a defense. They’ve got the offense where it needs to be to win games, but the defense can’t stop a runny nose. Regardless, the cats did exactly what I thought they would do to them. Perhaps a promising sign though that they surrendered 300 yards through the air.
Agree, the one ingredient missing from.Cody Hawkin's recipe to make ISU a good to great Big Sky team is a stout, competent defense !!!

Also, his Bengals tank was running on almost empty a week after playing us, outside in a downpour @ 5,000 feet in Boz Angeles and it showed on both sides of the ball for ISU. !!!

I am of the opinion that the only FCS playoff team the Cats have faced was SDSU which they lost. I would hold off on calling then Cats a top 5 team until they beat a team that will still be playing in December.
I am of the opinion that the only FCS playoff team the Fighting Hawks have faced was Montana which they lost I would hold off calling them a top 5 team until they beat a team that will still be playing in December.

The difference is that you put them on that pedestal and they aren't in the top 5. I wouldn't put Bozeman in the top 5 either and all I have said is they have the same resume as UND.

Yes,
Yes, Bozeman is all of 331 ft higher than Pocatello.

Yes, and there are also mountains ⛰️ surrounding the town--you just can't see them like the Bridgers, Gallatins and Madisons, because they aren't nearly as high--about 3,000-4,500 feet lower-- as those Montana mountain ranges and it also rains and snows inside their dome a lot, especially after they played their guts out the week before and lost a heartbreaker !!! That cold and wet dome weather in Poky at the ICCU Dome last week made Bozeman look like Rio de Janeiro yesterday : ( !!!.
