ISU Thoughts

I've re-read my posts, and here's what I can't stand about SOME Griz fans....you don't comprehend what is written. I haen't stirred anything up...I have mentioned that Montana is the better team (although we were better that particular Saturday), I love Criswell as aplayer and wish we had him, and that Dlouhy wasn't intentionally trying to hurt Kinghorn. For Christ's sake, Dlouhy was CRYING when he went to the bus because he was distraught.
However, just because he wasn't trying to hurt Kinghorn does not absolve Matt of the fact that he could have paralyzed Kinghorn for the foul, and he should be punished for it (harsh as that is, it probably has to be done).
Again, there is nothing on tape of Slim doing anything dirty. I've watched him play 48 times, you've seen him what twice (he played 8 minutes in Missoula last year, so it's not like he got a lot accomplished) and you have him pegged.
It's like with Criswell, I've probably now seen him play 15 times in his career. DId he kick Millien on the ground? Yes. Does one moment out of 15 games turn him into a dirty player? No. He's been a stand-up classy guy, so I'll excuse it, and the reality is, I'm positive the same can be said for Dlouhy. One play doesn't make him a thug, and I don't think anyone is really accusing him of that, but he foul could have led to SERIOUS injury, and that's why it needs taken care of.
What I don't want is that Gym Rat and Aargh are lumping in with some of the other Bengal posters who are way off base. I've based everything I've said in EVERY post on the facts of the game. I don't know what the hell else I have to do.
I mean think about it, someone could make the asusmption based on egriz postings that most Montana fans are arrogant, correct? I mean let's face it, most posters here are fairly pompous, but I've talked with, tailgated with, and sat next to enough Montana fans to know that they are a fun group that loves their team, much like I love mine. I don't paint the whole griz nation with one brush, I don't paint the Griz basketball team with one brush either, and you folks shouldn't as well.
Bottom line....they are just kids going to school, trying to get an education and make something of themselves while entertaining us for two hours twice a week....maybe we should put it in that perspective.

My only beef is with the dirty play, mainly from Millien, in the 2nd half. You're right BBB, they aren't on the video, because now I've had a chance to see it as well. The cheapshots happen when they cut away - so that explains why you're missing it BBB. It has nothing to do with winning or losing, it has to do with the fact that I won't tolerate that kind of play from anybody.
If you guys want to defend your dirty players - then I have a problem with that. If you want to talk about how well ISU played that night - well then you're right! Be proud of that part of the game, but don't try to defend the dirty play.
